I've never used circular needles before and I was a bit dubious.But these are amazing and so easy to use.

My husband ordered this set of short interchangeable needles online for me as a birthday present. I was so delighted and looked forward to get it by my birthday. There was no problem with delivery, received everything on time but I found out that some of the tips were defective and I do not think this is the way the brand new things suppose to look like unfortunately. And the case... so, I think it could be better. Please find pictures attached.

When I first saw these I thought it was a bit of a gimmick to have a ruler marked on the needles. Every experienced knitter knows that you can't measure the width of your knitting on the needle, and these won't help you measure the length at all, which is where you do most of your measuring.However, I have sinced realised how useful these are for casting on, especially if your cast on edge is frequently tighter than the rest of the piece you are knitting.First take the width measurement in cm you expect the piece to be and divide this by the number of stitches you will be casting on. This will be the number of stitches per cm. These needles have 2 cm markings on them, so double that number, and as you cast on, make sure that is the number of stitches covering that part of the needle and no more. Then your cast on edge will be the same width as the whole piece.

I purchased this set after purchasing the longer tips set ( Zing) so I could have both, giving me more options & versatility.Firstly I have to say neither of the 50cm cords screw into any of these needles. I had the same issue with one of the cables in the longer tips set too.Secondly, is the case. It's so clumsy & impractical.It's designed like a clutch bag. You open the clasp & immediately see the accessories section at the top, like you would see the 'purse' section in a clutch bag, all good right? No! The accessories section is upside down with the opening on the bottom!!.. Imagine if your little zipped purse inside your clutch bag had the zipper on the bottom , so when you unzipped it, all your money fell into your bag. This is what this needle case does. All your wires, keys, stitch markers, etc fall out when you unpop the poppers. So I tried turning the clutch case upside down to open the accessories bit, but due to the nature of the stiff ' folds' in the case, & me trying to hold it upright so I can open it without losing my accessories in the process, it flipped the needles section forward on itself, because it doesn't want to be in that position. The result was everything expelled across the floor!It is SO badly designed, I don't know how it got past the initial drawings.It's also a cheap 1970's white plastic look, with bits of cellophane refusing to leave the rim around the ' window section. I could live with that if it was functional. Their pics show it sat up in a standing position, like an ipad case or similar. It does NOT do that. Again, think of a clutch bag , it just wants to act the same way, by folding inward to close position.Thirdly , they drag. I was so surprised as my Zing set do not, they are smooth & fast. These tips however are cut & sectioned at intervals to accommodate the silver/colour changes in the needle & you can feel the joins. So very disappointed!I'm returning them.

I love KnitPro SmartStix and the short length is my preferred type of needle. Unfortunately I had a problem with two of the cables and one of the needles. Amazon directed me to knitpro; knitpro said it was amazon's problem; amazon directed me back to knitpro etc etc etc. Eventually, I just had to return the whole thing. Disappointing.*EDIT: according to KnitPro, Amazon isn't an authorised distributor for their products so definitely buy elsewhere.

They look very nice but I prefer other brand. Sizes are too big for my liking
