I think the gold standard for bladders is probably something like the CamelBak Antidote. Those are good bladders, but when I've bought them, I usually end up having to buy the additional bite-valve-cover to make it functional in the field for me. I also happen to have large hands and cleaning the bladders with small openings is always a challenge. I feel like the long brushes don't get as much as I would get with my hand, and in cases like the CamelBak, because of their design, a human hand can't actually fit down the bladder.All of that said, I am really happy with this bladder. It seems well thought out and constructed. The opening at the top of the bladder is large enough for my hands (which now gives me no excuse to not clean it), and it has a little extra grooved-lip for gripping it when refilling the bladder. It is double seam-sealed all the way around the edges, which offers more security against leaks. It has a positive action on/off valve; meaning that you can actually tell when you've engaged or disengage the lock. And the best part for me is that it comes with a bite-valve cover already. I don't understand why that's not a standard feature in the more expensive bags! You put your backpack or hydration pack down somewhere, and your bite-valve automatically drags on the ground. So the inclusion of the cover is a big plus for me.One thing I want to mention is that based on the product photos, I thought this bladder may have a removable hose-line from the bottom of the bladder... It does not. They describe it as a "Leak Proof Self-lock socket" which made me think it was removable. However it's pretty well wedged in there, and I wouldn't want to remove it unless I was going to replace the hose.I can't seem to have enough bladders to go around. We use them for hiking, bike-rides, beach outings, and long days at amusement parks or around town. So I am truly happy to add this one to the arsenal.

Overall a great replacement for my very old camelbak bladder. I tested it in multiple positions and so far it really doesn't leak. It's very easy to open and close and fill the reservoir. Capacity is large but obviously you can fill just as much as you want. Also I really like the built in drinking valve cover, which will keep that part clean. My only issues with this product is the bite valve itself. That's personal preference, but I don't want to bite to drink. I see the benefit of this: water can't leak. But the valve also has a close/open option so I think this isn't necessary. But if you don't mind the bite valve this is a great bladder.

I like it very much, thus, I write more to help people who wants to select good products on amazon. I think for the drink equipments, health is very important. There is a FDA logo on it. When hiking, you do not have enough hand to hold a bottle of water, so a water bag is very useful. It is very easy to drink from it. At the beginning, I think the bite would be easy to get dirty. But it is not. There is a cover on the bite. I recommended it to my girlfriend and she bought one, too.

I needed a replacement bladder stat and this came out quickly and has a better design than most bags out there
