Kol Hakavod: Way to Go!

I am a traditional Jew and this book was too liberal for my comfort level. I have purchased quite a few KarBen books in the past. I have always admired how they have managed to represent religious Jews who didn’t have to be Orthodox, but this book stretched the line too far for someone who still cares about Halacha, so I am going to try and return it.

This is a fabulous book for kids in EVERY way. My 4-year-old daughter will exclaim, "Kol Hakavod!" without prompting now as she picks up her toys or helps to feed our cat. Teaching children tolerance, kindness, and acts of service from not only their own religion or culture-but from others' as well is vital to their character development. This book has large, lively yet detailed illustrations that delight the eye. Combined with simple yet truly heartwarming examples of children excelling at being kind, this book is a must-have. The author writes in an up-beat, musical tone that makes it fun to read aloud. I will be buying multiple copies as gifts for many friends!
