An enjoyable story
This book is the 22nd outing for Leaphorn, Chee and Manuelito and doesn't miss a beat in continuity or characterisation. It is easy to slip into the South West and "see" the places Anne describes.I first came across the series in Arizona where I was given a map or the Grand Circle. I also bought a copy of the Indian Country Map that Leaphorn makes much use of in the early books. You can start anywhere in the series but I would recommend the beginning. For a while I could only find the books in the Four Corner area but now they are on Amazon they are accessible to everybody.

A good and interesting read.
A really enjoyable fourth book written by Anne Hillerman about Navajo policemen and following on from the series of books written by her father Tony Hillerman.Joe Leaphorn and Jim Chee are fascinating characters and the books are full of all sorts of interesting information about native American tribes in the south west of the United States as well.

Improving with each book.
I used to love Tony Hillerman's books and was sad when he died. His daughter's books initially seemed disappointing, but I'm glad I stuck with them because this latest one, Cave of Bones is a real cracker. I really enjoyed its pace and complexity. And plenty of Navajo philosophy too. A great read.

Another great story.
I love the way Anne Hillerman has taken over the mantle of her father and continued to breathe life into his characters but in her own way. The stories give an Insight into the lives of the First Nation .their present challenges and their history..Another enjoyable read. Reading her stories is like meeting up with old friends.
