I received my cutting board on 12/18/24. It came in a very sturdy box with great supporting foam so I knew it was well protected. The mosaic of the walnut wood is just beautiful!! The board is heavy and has "feet" on both sides that keep the board in place. Unfortunately for me, we had a distiller on the counter that we were unaware had leaked. We had left for 2 days and discovered it the next morning and I noticed the board had soaked up the water. I was devastated!! So I felt I probably couldn't ruin it much by trying to solve this (it rocked on the counter). I placed the board in my oven and set the temp to 175 degrees. As soon as it reached that temp, I let the board sit inside for ONE minute. I felt the board then and it was slightly warm so I removed it. I then set heavy jugs in the middle of the board and left it for 3 days. To my great delight, the board "reset" itself and I couldn't tell it had been warped! I oiled it as the heat had slightly dried it out. I attribute all this to the great quality of the board and there is no doubt I am more than happy about this product. Yes, it was a bit pricey but it should last a long time. I wrote on my calendar to oil it every 2 weeks. I love how it looks on my countertop!

I've had this cutting board in my "save for later" for over a year. I finally purchased it to use for meats. Once it arrived, I was happy to see that it arrived undamaged. The walnut is high quality. Heavy. Smooth. I couldn't be more happy with this purchase. I purchased John Boos beeswax and oil to care for the board. Its a beautiful board and looks great on the counter as well.

I needed a sturdy high quality cutting board and this one does not disappoint. It's gorgeous and sturdy. It actually was even nicer than expected and was presented lovely. It came in a really nice box in case it's a gift and it was well protected during shipping. This would make a great gift. There is also a note from the company owners and I received a follow up email to make sure I was satisfied. Great experience. It has feet on both sides so regardless of which side you use (one side has the juice groove) there is no slipping. It's really nice and thick and can handle whatever you need. No scratches or splintering thus far. This was a great investment and I'm really happy with my purchase. Bottle in the picture to show size.

This cutting board is beautiful out of the box. While I am just a regular dude(not a chef for decades), I can appreciate some exceptionally crafted knives and kitchen tools. This board is an equal partner in crime for your favorite high end chef blade.The board itself is beautifully crafted in appearance and function which makes it an enjoyable experience to give it the appropriate care: oil/wax/hand-wash/dry during its life and work cycle. The wood holds up to repetitions of even my sharpest knives holding its beauty over the months of use.The non-slip feet of the board are well designed in form and function. The wood is strong and holds its beauty so far under heavy volume of use. Its appearance enhances photographing food if you are into that kind of thing.The aspect that stands out most regarding this board is the customer service at Sonders. At some point while not in use, the board developed a split on the short side about quarter length down the middle of the board. After reading through some reviews, I found the Sonders email and shot them over some photos and a short narrative of the issue.The folks at Sonders consideration and engagement with me through this conversation stands out as a top end model that companies would be wise to strive for. Not only was the representative curious, considerate, knowledgeable and kind, they agreed to replace the board and got it to my residence in 2 days. I was pretty excited to get this cutting board. It's made in America and it’s simply beautiful with the matrix of the end pieces. More than I could afford, but it was too pretty to turn down. The board was smooth except for large rough spots on the surface, also started to split on the corner. Returned it. Sonder did reach out to make good on the purchase, but I already returned it and bought a different one. I did not know Sonder has a 1 year guarantee on their boards or I would have worked with them, as they seem like a very good small company. I would recommend them for purchase of their boards with the guarantee they offer and personalized service.
