Wow, what a sound quality. Mainly PS5 review.
I've tested a lot of headsets within the last few months and the list consists of following:* Hyperx Cloud 2 wireless ( not loud enough on consoles IMO. 60 ohms require more power, they sound great but my ears get spicy after just an hour or two. You can always replace the earcups but that's additional costs ).* Corsair HS70 Pro wireless ( good sound, loud enough on PS5, kind of heavy. Overall good choice for under $100 ).* Blackshark V2 Pro ( the battle was between this one and Sennheiser, tough one. Great headset for the price, triforce speakers separate the sounds nicely, very light, loud enough on PS5, very comfortable ).* Corsair HS80 RGB wireless ( my biggest gripe, they're only good on PC for all the features. Settings from IQ do not transfer to PS5 that goes for the side tone as well, they sound great though, very light and very comfortable as well. Probably the best microphone on a wireless headset by far ).* Arctis 7P+ ( overall great headset tailored specifically for PS5 with a dedicated side tone wheel that I love BUT I have to have them at 90% to fully enjoy them, Steelseries signature sound always lacked bass that's also due to their breathable ear cups which are super comfortable ).* Hyperx Cloud Alpha wireless ( apart from that crazy 300 hours battery I would still choose Cloud 2 wireless for sound quality ).With all these mentions I've decided to stick with the Sennheiser GSP 370.Sound:Amazing sound quality with enough bass and richness. They are plenty loud on PS5. Infinity scrolling wheel doesn't tell you when your volume is maxed out but I kind of like it. I never end up on max and with only 28 ohms they deliver crisp, loud volume and sound quality.Battery:100 hours, enough said :) I also like the quick battery check with a power slider. I think they also have quick charge since it only took about 3 hours or less to fully charge them. They only gripe - still micro usb.Comfort:They are the most comfortable headset I have even worn ( at least from what I've tried above ). Even more than Arctis 7P+ and Blackshark V2 Pro which a lot of people can agree those are on top with comfort. Sennheisers also have replaceable ear cups with pleather on inside and outside combined with suede material touching your skin. Bottom line, amazing comfort. They also are the lightest out of the mentioned above. I've never felt like my ears are hot or spicy in them. You can't even feel them on your head.Microphone:That I would say is the biggest downside but there are mixed opinions about this out there. Some people say it sounds like trash and some that it sounds like the rest of Sennheiser microphones which is definitely passable. I really like that the side tone and other settings transfer to consoles. I need my side tone with my two boys asleep, I need to know how loud I get. Also, do you close your ears when talking to someone? I need my side tone.Overall I wanted to pass this on and my search is finally over. It's been a long one but I've finally landed on a PERFECT wireless headset. I hope this will help in making some purchase decisions.

Update - Second pair, with firmware update, connectivity and range issues 100% resolved.
Update 2: Decided to give these a second shot after I heard back from Sennheiser's new support group that they were working on the connectivity issues. Well, as of early August I updated the firmware for the dongle and then the headset (headset plugged into the computer via a USB cable for the firmware update), and the problems that I had are now gone. The range is now great - I can go upstairs and walk around and only get some crackling (antenna orientation I believe), whereas before I couldn't go 15 feet away with a wall in between the dongle and headset without tons of static - even putting my arms on my head used to block the signal enough to cause static. No more! The firmware updates on the dongle and headset also resolved the issue where the headset couldn't reconnect to the dongle after a computer restart, or a fresh start, without unplugging the dongle and plugging it back in. Really, this was my biggest complaint with these, and I'm really glad that they fixed it.I have not noticed any increased battery drain with the firmware updates, or any loss of sound quality (mic included).(old) Update: running the dongle update, and then the headset update, using the Sennheiser Gaming Software bricked the dongle. Big oof since I only tried the update to fix the connectivity on boot/restart issue. So, the sound quality is quite good when you use the presets. The microphone is better than the Logitech headset that I had (the Discord self test will cut in and out, but that doesn't translate to what other folks hear). The battery life is phenomenal - really, how do they do it? All day with it on and watching movies, playing games, chatting with folks on discord and it drops 2% (yesterday from 86% to 84%).Now to the bad, as other folks have poignantly noted:The range of these headphones isn't great, and a microwave being used nearby will cause these to crackle and pop. Same thing with refrigerator doors or other obstructions. Once, when walking around the house (same floor as the computer/dongle) about 15 feet away, the headset caused my mic output to be super high. Shutting off the headset and powering them back on fixed it.The software is terrible - (Update: version 1.3.0.478 seems to have fixed this particular gripe, and settings are now saved and restored after a restart) it doesn't save your last selections (defaults back to stereo and no default music preset. The software doesn't have it's own icon on the bottom windows bar like all other open apps do, forcing you to minimize everything to see it, or to use alt tab to get back to it.Every time you restart, or power on, your computer you MUST remove the USB dongle and plug it back in once Windows has loaded to the desktop. Nothing less than that will get your GSP 370 to connect back to the PC/dongle.The connectivity issue could be fixed if Sennheiser bothered to, yet with how long this product has been out you should not expect them to. (It may be that the battery life has something to do with these problems, but if that were the case then Sennheiser should just let the customer know)TLDR: If you desire massive, and I really mean that, battery life in a headset and don't mind having to unplug then re-plug the dongle after every restart (sleep mode too?) - these are for you. If you are OCD about headset connectivity just working at a 2020 standard, these are NOT for you.

Not half bad
I've had a number of wireless earbuds, headphones, and headsets. Bluetooth tends to compress the audio and this headset is no different. Apart from that, they sound great. These really become a fun headset with Dolby enabled. I wouldn't say you can close your eyes and let the sounds paint the room in your mind, but the sound imaging is accurate enough to know where noises are generally coming from. The ear cups are narrow, probably by design to help keep the surround sound accurate. The ear cups are deep enough that my ears don't touch, making extended use more comfortable. These do have a fair bit of clamping force, almost to the point of annoyance. Being closed back, your ears will get a bit warm wearing these. Not a deal killer, but something to note. As for the Mic, I wouldn't say its Studio Quality audio but it sounds good. I've had these for a little over a year now and I can't say I ran out of battery since these were always charged. I will say I forgot to charge these for a few days, but as long as you plug em in occasionally I never ran the battery to empty. If you're looking for a good headset, I can't really hate these. They are a fun sounding headset with Dolby Surround. Battery life is great. Comfort is good enough. Controls are okay (power switch could be better/easier to use) but volume and Mic mute are strait forward. The only issue I see with these are how narrow the ear cups are, it could be an issue for some. That or if you live somewhere really warm, these do make my ears a bit warm. I'd recommend open back headphones/headsets for that. Anyways, thanks for reading hope this helps.
