It's a beast
This unit is a beast. As long as you know how to use a choke it starts right up. My only problem is not with the machine but the delivery sevice. They are not to smart. The first unit I got was out of the box.The driver claimed he figured he was helping me out by taking it out of the box. When I inspected it the unit was missing the spay gun handle and I notice a lot of oil dripping under the bottom of the unit.So the unit was either placed upside down or knocked on it's side so I refused it. The next one that came was in the center of the truck and not secured in any way. This unit was on its side. Me and the driver tiped it back on its wheels and as I inspected it I saw a very small amount of oil had leaked from the pump. The driver said that it was loaded in his truck and that it did not tip over. After I inspected it I felt it was ok it most likely fell on its side on the way to my house. So make sure you really inspect this thing because the delivery company is horrible.

Works great... but is a bear to get started.
If this was sold with an electric starter it would be great. I am over 270lbs, and work out a lot, yet this thing is a beast to get running. Sometimes it starts right away, other times it allows me to increase my vocabulary.

Great unit!
I've only had the Generac 6565 Pressure Washer for a couple of weeks, but have been very pleased with it so far. It is easy to start, and runs well. It usually takes about a minute for the pump to fill with water, but after that, never lacks pressure. It easily cleans my concrete driveway and brick walls, and had no problem soaping and rinsing 2nd story windows. I also bought a 15” Surface Cleaner, and it almost took flight when I neglected to turn the PSI down. I also like the nozzle tips/attachments. The only other pressure washers that I have ever used had a single adjustable nozzle (where you control the angle of the water spray by turning the tip of the nozzle). The nozzle tips that are used with this unit just work better in my opinion. The Generac 6565 arrived at my home well packaged, and the minor assembly required after “unwrapping” was easily accomplished. Simply put, I would highly recommend this unit.I attached a pic to show the difference in the unwashed top part of my driveway compared to the washed bottom area.

needs a better gun
This thing is very powerful. I own a swimming pool company. I use this for pressure washing swimming pools and have to turn down the regulator so I don't destroy plaster. The only reason I give it four stars is because the metal shaft on the gun exploded like Elmer Fudds shotgun. Luckily no one got hurt. On my way to Home Depot to find a replacement I called Generac and the wouldn't do anything without the serial. Meanwhile I got two guys on site getting paid to stand with their thumbs in their you know what's. Found a replacement at Home Depot and been good since.

What a beast
This is a workhorse. Love the fact that you can adjust the pressure. Some have complained that it's can be difficult to start. I've used it three times now and I haven't had any problems. Put the choke on, pull once. Probably won't start on first pull. Pull wand trigger to release pressure in line. Put choke off. Pull again, and mine always starts on the second pull. Can say enough, read the manual from start to finish. There are some good tips in there. For example: Once you are finished using the power washer and you have it turned off, disconnect the high pressure line and then pull the starter cord 3 to 6 times to get the remaining water out of the pump. You won't find a pressure washer with the same PSI and GPM for anywhere near this price. Highly recommend.

TOTAL WASTE OF BIG MONEY
brand new out of box..filled all oil levels hooked up water supply, machine started in one pull... An initial blast of power then the machine totally was weak,,when releasing the trigger the machine sounds like it is seizing up...I bought commercial grade hoping it would be better...My 150$ machine is better

Really Difficult to Start.
UPDATE:After only a couple of times using the unit it started to leak gas from the carb. Poorly designed float needle seems to be the culprit.First Impression is not very good. I wanted a PW that was made in the USA and I have a Generac natural gas back-up generator that has been awesome so this seemed like a no-brainer. It is a good looking machine and I really like the connections being up front and unobstructed. The pull is in an awkward spot considering how hard it is to start this thing, It took me over 30 minutes to get it started on its maiden voyage. When I shut it off and tried to re-start it it was another 10 minutes of pulling. Some times I would go to pull and it would not want to turn freely. The pressure adjustment requires a strap wrench to turn. I am a big guy so weakness is not an issue. I am starting up a PW business and bought this unit and the 3800 PSI that will be delivered tomorrow. I bought the second before the first even arrived based on my past opinion of Generac, that may have been a mistake, I will post a follow up.My second purchase arrived, a 3800 PSI unit. I now have two Generac PWs, one purchased here and one from HD. They are much different performance-wise. This 3800 started after just a couple of pulls and ran fine. It put a pressure gauge on it and was actually getting 4,000 PSI. Cosmetically there are not too many difference other than the wheels are solid rubber not inflatable like on the 4,200 unit. I prefer the solid rubber. I would recommend the 3,800 unit based on initial testing.

Power house
Thing works great, I added a pressure gauge, because I didn't want to peel paint, and wreck stuff. Something this powerful should come with it, especially since its adjustable. But so far I love it.
