Great price and very good quality. Better quality than my local Home Depot and it costs less. This dimmer also comes with the option to chose a very low glowing dot above the switch. I like the light option for my guest bathroom.

It was easy use everything was precut so no need to call an electrician just make sure the power is off from the breaker! When did the price double? Everything works .

I seldom write reviews but if this helps just one person, it was worth it. We've been battling this lighting/ceiling fan issue for the last 12 years on a new construction house and if you have the same situation this is a must read. The original ceiling fan had three of those terrible 60 watt E12 incandescent Candelabra light bulbs. We spent a fortune on several different other mfg's of light bulbs including LED's that flickered even with the Levition dimmer switch 6672-1LW installed and regardless the mfg they were always too dim, way too dim. Finally the fan motor was making noise so it was time to replace ceiling fan and went through the misery of looking at hundreds of different fans. In this large master bedroom and there is only one light/fan in the center of the ceiling and the biggest objective was to find a quiet fan with good air flow but one that could finally provide adequate lighting and finally we did, so I'd like to share our journey and what the final solution was, and you should too. We tried several different types of different mfg's LED's with the A19-E26 dimensions all with zero success. Some flickered, some were too dim, some did not even light up while others only worked at the maximum setting even after having a so called electrician who was also stumped too, so what to do? If you go to Levitions web site they list almost 600 different compatible lights for this switch and in the A19-E26 size they listed only one compatible bulb? It was a Frosted Philips but the part number they listed on their site was not a good number. Even called their tech support that was at a loss for words, again what to do was the 64 dollar question. Took another chance and purchased the Philips Ultra Definition 60 watt 5K dimmable LED's (BINGO!). We are so happy now with a nice bright light with zero flickering at any setting with a wonderful super quiet fan that looks great and best of all it was at a very reasonable price. BTW the fan shown is a 52" Rockport ceiling fan by Hampton Bay that has great reviews in which we do concur, the switch is a Leviton 6672-1LW, and the bulbs are Philips Ultra Definition 60 watt 5K dimmables (AGAIN MUST BE DIMMABLE!) which is the hot ticket as the 27K's were way too dim for our liking. Lessons learned are that all switches, bulbs and fixtures must be compatible, especially when it comes to LED's. Could others work I'm sure I don't or would I ever want to know again, ugh. Pardon the long read but if it helps just one person it was worth my time, hooray!

I connected this dimmer to a chandelier loaded with 12x 40W incandescent bulbs (480W total). The dimmer was easy to install, looked fantastic, and worked incredibly well, but it made an intolerable buzzing/zinging sound that could be heard clear across the room. The noise was emanating from the dimmer, not the bulbs, and was audible at all dimming levels except OFF, though it was quieter close to 100% brightness. This is a real pity, because there is much to like about this dimmer. My previous, rotary-style dimmer did not make any noise at all with the same chandelier and bulbs. Buzzing seems to be an issue with many forward-phase triac dimmers under certain load conditions, and it can vary from one dimmer to the next, even within the same model. On the other hand, ELV/reverse-phase dimmers are silent due to their mode of operation, so I looked for an ELV dimmer to alleviate the problem. Unfortunately, Leviton's SureSlide ELV dimmers are only rated at 300W incandescent, so I bought a 500W Lutron Skylark Contour ELV dimmer instead, which works very well and is truly silent, but it cannot match the sleek and refined style of the Leviton SureSlide. Update: Months after disconnecting this dimmer, I decided to connect it up again and hunt for the source of the buzzing. The dimmer seems well enough constructed, but, to save cost, as with most dimmers, the inductor/coil is not varnished or epoxy-filled as it should be, which can certainly cause 60Hz/120Hz switching vibrations to become audible, just as a speaker coil vibrates in a magnetic field. So, I glued the coil, and the buzzing/zinging has now been greatly suppressed, reduced to a low hum, which I can only hear when I bring my ear close to the dimmer. It is vital to use the right glue. Varnish or epoxy would work best for this application, but it's supposed to be sucked through the coil in a vacuum to fill every gap, which is impossible now that it's installed in the product. The coil is wound two layers deep, so the glue needs to penetrate ALL the way through the windings, bonding the wire to itself and to the core, otherwise it may continue to vibrate deep inside. I used Loctite 420 Penetrating Superbonder, which has a dielectric constant close to that of air. This superglue is thinner than water, which allows it to be instantly sucked into every crack and cranny by capillary action. If you want to try this, first DISCONNECT the dimmer from the AC power, remove 4 tiny screws from the black plastic casing, slide the casing away, and apply the glue to the coil. But plan carefully to prevent glue from getting onto ANY other parts. It runs faster than water, so tip the bottle sparingly and do not squeeze! Apply at each end of the coil, close to the core, then run a stripe or two across the coil until the windings fill with glue without dripping out. Use an absorbent paper towel to catch any drips. If this glue gets near the slider potentiometer, the dimmer will be damaged beyond repair. Allow the glue to cure for 24 hours, then reassemble and reconnect the dimmer. I'm now using this dimmer again, and I'm much happier with it.

This switch works flawlessly and matches the other switches and outlets in my home. If you have never installed one of these switches before, it uses wire nuts to connect to your existing wiring.

Great little dimmer switch. Very easy to install. Came with very clear directions. Switch easily glides up and down. Connected easily to my electrical wires. Great value for my money and I didn’t have to go to a hardware store for it. 10/10 recommend.

more energy efficient and more crontol of lighting where needed , between using dimmer switches and led lights that are dimmable , i have noticed a difference in my hydro bill , lets face it you always do not need full lighting all the time , works really well at night for night lighting in certain places of your home . just love the control of the setting things the way i like it . highly reccommend this product , easy to install .

I bought two of those for my LED slim lights and I thought they would feel as cheap as the ones I had purchased for the same price at my local hardware store, however they actually feel a lot better, it is smooth, so it is easier to control how much light you want. I am very happy with them and since my local hardware store only has those with a button + slider, or the one with the slider that feels really cheap, I'll buy those again for sure. Extremely good value. The only negative, I somewhat assumed the integrated light (it's not in the description here but it is on the manufacturer's website) would light up the entire plate where the slider is, however it is just a red dot that makes the thicker plastic parts visible, it looks ridiculous and I have turned them off (as they are by default). If that's what you want, you will be disappointed, but it wasn't a big deal for me.

Good value and it works fine for my LED lights. Although the photo in the add shows it enclosed in the wall plate, the wall plate is not included (as is stated in the product spec's).
