Good puzzle but with issues
It's not a bad puzzle. The positives are it looks great -- the pieces are sturdy and you can paint on them without warping the puzzle. The negatives are the pieces are hard to push in place. Much of this is due to the fact that the pieces are not smoothly cut all the way around, but have small bits attached to the adjacent pieces in manufacturing, probably to hold them in place. They easily break apart, but the small bits of material remain, making it difficult to push the pieces together when building the puzzle. It was so annoying that I had to resort to sanding down the little bumps that remained after separating the pieces, as well as all the edges. That helped a lot, but it was still harder to fit together than traditional puzzles. Also of minor concern, the shapes are not all unique -- there are several identical cuts in the puzzle which add to the complexity -- this may or may not be a preference. I personally didn't like it. I would still recommend it, if you're willing to do a little sanding of the edges so they fit better.

Should’ve trusted the reviews
These puzzles seemed like they were going to be the perfect addition to my Christmas gift scavenger hunt, but in reality I should’ve hunted harder for something better. The reviews said they had problems going back together, but apparently I didn’t want to listen to them. They’re nice and sturdy puzzles, but they don’t fit back into the frames once you take them out; and I made the mistake of taking them apart before I finished the picture, not noticing that most of the pieces look the same. It served its purpose as a one time thing, but if they were for anything else they would not have.

Wont fit back once removed
So close... comes with a nice backer, we used a couple different types of pens, the best ones were jr white acrylic painter medium tip paint markers (we also love them for rock painting) the other types of paint markers lost color and you could see the pen lines. BUT once you take the puzzle out the backer board it is NOT going back in, we even tried shaving down the outer borders for a quick hack and that didnt give enough room .... however you can still build the puzzles free form on a table and just store the pieces in a ziploc bag or something.

Don’t buy horrible quality
Got these for a new hobby to do I didn’t want cheap cardboard puzzles I wanted wood and thought these would be great but they are awful the pieces are made so tight that you can’t hardly get the pieces together once you take them apart I even used a rotary tool to sand down the sides it helped a little but I would not buy these again I did buy more then one set and iam sending them back I’d recommend finding something else without the frame or going to a craft store

Great for classroom
These are great puzzles. I’ve seen cardboard versions, but they don’t hold up as well. These are thin wood, and fairly sturdy. I paint them with educational concepts for my students to use in their free work time.I’d recommend spray painting a background coat and then using acrylics for details. The wood takes spray paint well and it only takes about 3 coats to cover it.

Didn't work for me
The first one I tried to take apart first but it's impossible to put it back together blank. Then I tried to paint it first but when I tried to take it apart the pieces tore apart. Very difficult to put the pieces together. I wouldn't recommend.

Packaged loosely!
Product seems good quality. But when I opened the package, all of the prices are loosely thrown in. I planned to give this as a gift; I will have to try and put the blank puzzle back together somehow and package it tightly before I can give it. Would never have purchased this had I known how it would be packaged.

Great wood puzzle
Making some puzzles for my grandson. Number the pieces because they look the same but they fit perfectly the way it comes! Painting the pieces with no problems.

Useful
Unique product. I work in a primary school and can think of many different ways of using these. From printing or painting a picture on or help with learning numbers and phonics. A great useful object.

Great fun with little ones
These are good little puzzles to create with little ones. Better if using paint or permanent marker. Caution on paint, as these are MDF they will plim up with moisture
