I have a piece of 1/8" heat-treated steel needing a couple 5/16 holes. My regular and other drill bits wouldn't barely scratch the surface. Re-tried with these carbide drill bits and a better drill and made the holes likiditty split easy-peasy.

I'm just an older gal with an impact driver. For these to be truly effective I think you need a concrete drill. All in all a good price, and they don't break easily which is good since most bits skip off and break.

Go slow, use cutting oil. These things did the job 1/2” hard steel

I really like this set because it gives me a range of bit sizes and because of the color and shank, it is easy to see that these are different than the seemingly hundreds of good and bad regular bits that I have. They work great too.

Very happy with these, got full after about 12 holes in concrete. Great value considering the price

I've been using these to drill holes for drainage in ceramic pots. Good tracking if you put a starter punch to break the ceramic a little. No pots broken yet. Fairly easy drilling.
