Great for hand and wrist strengthening
This product has been very useful for my outpatients to not only strengthen their wrists, but their hands/grip as well with the option of removing the handle. Very easy set up and seems to be built well.

Works great except for locking mechanism
This has been great. I have definitely noticed a difference in forearm strength, and size since using this product. One downside is that the red locking mechanism in the middle will become undone on its own which leaves the rope holding the weight free spooling and can be dangerous, as the spinning center piece can smack your hand or fingers (has happened to me a couple times) and the weight will drop freely onto whatever is beneath it. This isn’t an issue if you just use the wide hand grips and not the bar that goes with it. Another downside which I have seen in other reviews is that sweaty hands (or if you use lotion) make it tough to grip/turn the plastic handles. This piece can be overcome by wearing workout gloves and isn’t too big of an issue.Overall I like the product, but the locking piece coming undone on its own and the danger this presents is a concern. The seller was responsive to my feedback and handled it in a positive manner.

Good but slippery handle
I saw some people complaining that the handle is slippery and they can’t put 10lb on it and it thought they probably didn’t wear gloves while working out. Well, I did and I could barely work with 5lb weight! Now I’m following their suggestion and order grip tape. This is a good tool but you will need to order a tape together!

it works, just gotta do it daily
It works, started with 7lbs could only do 3 reps got to 8 back to back reps in a few weeks, now up to 10 lbs 4 reps after a month. One downside is red handle is a bit slippery when hands get sweaty, but works just gotta grip tighter, could try thin workout gloves for better grip.

Don't buy. Cheap plastic breaks in shipping. Refused to return money.
Cheap plastic tab broke. Seller refused to accept return. Buyer Beware! Buy another brand. I bought the thicker bar version of this from another company and it worked better. Once the plastic breaks, which it was cracked out of the box, it is a useless item as the loaded weight housing that cord attaches to and carries the loaded weight just slides as you twist. Poor design. Poor customer service. The Seller preferred to hand on to my money than exchange it.

Good piece of equipment, but not without flaws.
First off, I have to say I've purchased this particular product twice. I bought this model, because it was supposed to come with a pin to put plate weights on it. The first order didn't come with a pin, so I sent it back and had Amazon send me a replacement. The replacement didn't come with a pin either. Either Amazon kept messing up my request, or this particular product doesn't come with a pin at all; which would be disappointing considering there is a $10 difference between this model and the one without the pin.As for the product itself, even without the pin, it is still very versatile in its ability to attach weighted items and for using different parts of your forearms. The main use, with the bar, provides wonderful exercises for both your upper and under forearms. You can even unlock and slide the bar out and use the wheel portion of the equipment to exercise the outer parts of your forearms and wrists. It's quite neat how it was built and it is of good quality. Now, the only real issue I have with the equipment itself is when you use it with the bar through the wheel. Your grip will likely slip at points when trying to exercise and when using heavier weights. The only solutions to this, that I've found that work, are the following: 1) Wear a pair of gloves with good grip and/or 2) use grip tape. The problem with grip tape is that, if you're wanting to take the bar out and to exclusively use the wheel portion of the equipment, you have to undo the tape and the re-wrap it when you want to use the bar again.Overall, it's still a good piece of equipment, but I do wish the grip was better on the bar. I also even wonder if there is even a pin attachment for this item. Regardless, I'd still recommend it for use on your forearms.
