I bought this book to help me with pricing at an estate sale. It truly did not help that much. It appeared that all of the value pricing was all about the same ranges. And ... to say the least I did not get 'near' the amount of money that the book/author quoted as possible revenue amounts. Pretty pictures ... but too pricy for what I needed it for.

I wish the pictures were a little larger, and I have online Vintage Costume jewelry shop and i have a lot of Coventry, I wish there were more pieces shown. But It is good reference

Based of the reviews (sadly, only a few) of books on Sarah Coventry jewelry, this was the least offensive it seems, so I cautiously purchased it. I would have been far more impressed with the book if there were not at least two mis-identified pieces. When you are to the point of printing a book about something factual, maybe having ALL of the identifications should be correct. Comparing the items to my Sarah Cov catalogs, I cannot even understand how one of them was mis-identified--description and all--other than poor editing. I would not be this upset if the book only cost me $10 but I expect 100% correct AND no "guessed" names based on another similar piece--another very disappointing feature. Without having all catalogs from the company existence, how do I know that some others are not mis-identified?! Why bother to put it in the book if it is not double checked, verified, ummm CORRECT? Lastly one piece that is unidentified, I see all of the time with its correct name...not sure why it would not be identified other than the book is 8 years old and maybe back then it was still a mystery.At least the photos are all clear--trying to end in a positive note.

I fund this book helpful, because it contains 2 CK catalogs: 1969, 1972 and 1982. Owing to this fact, I found out that all I have collected so far is in the 1969 catalog. This book helps me to upgrade my collection and make it systematic.

Little did I know when I purchased this book it would have everything one would want to know about Sarah Coventry Jewelry and its history. It not only provides the price of the pieces when they were originally sold but their current estimated values. The pictures are good and the history excellent. It is evident the author spent a great deal of time and love into this comprehensive book.

This book was given as a gift, so not having looked at it I can't give a fair evaluation. So this is why I rated it a 4 star.
