Veteran Photoshop Nerd and I LOVE this monitor!
I am a professional Graphic Designer who LIVES in Photoshop 8-12 hours a day during the week and I am SUPER critical of color accuracy and image quality. For years I've worked with multiple monitors at a time and had one that I kept spot on calibrated and one that was my "dump" monitor for pallets and web and such. This 34" ultra-wide is PERFECT to use for everything without needing multiple monitors AND it's color accuracy and consistency is incredible. When I started looking to retire a first gen 5k iMac that I've been working on since it came out, to start using primarily my newer Macbook Pro as my primary system, I started researching monitors. Like Any serious Graphic Designer, I'd LOVE to be able to spend $4,000 to $5,000 on EIZO or other high end industry standard monitors but I don't have that kind of money. In doing my research I kept seeing incredible reviews equating Viewsonic to them in quality and performance. Their Pro line of monitors kept popping up time after time as a great alternative so I looked through all the offerings and settled on the VP3481. With the Size, Type C connectivity and the factory color calibration guaranteeing 100% SRGB and over 90% Adobe RGB, it was the sweet spot for my needs. The built in USB dock that not only provides power back to the laptop and carries the video signal and other information to multiple other USB ports made it a great docking alternative as well. I can leave most of my needed devices plugged in to the monitor and simply unplug the USB-C from my MacBook and It's ready to go. Leave my charger in the bag because the Monitor charges the Laptop. Really a great bonus on top of the outstanding graphic performance. My only critique, which isn't a super big deal to me but it might be to others, is the built in speakers. I didn't buy it for the audio but since it is part of the monitor, I'll address their quality and other issues. I am currently running macOS Catalina (yeah... I'm afraid of upgrading to Big Sur... been driver burned too many times to count). The speakers work but they don't allow native volume controls (keyboard or pulldown menu) to control the audio. You can only control the volume from the ViewSonic app. Not sure if it's an Apple thing or ViewSonic, but either way, it's annoying. The quality of the speakers isn't awful but it's not great so most of the time I just use the laptop speakers to avoid keeping the ViewSonic app open. Since I didn't buy it expecting breakthrough sound, it's not biggie to me.As for gaming quality, I put a 5-star but take that with a grain of salt because honestly, I don't game. The few games I do play don't challenge the refresh or anything so it doesn't really matter to me. Video plays BEAUTIFULLY and when editing using Premiere, the screen real estate is INCREDIBLE and makes it so much easier. The pixel density isn't true 4k but it's incredibly clear and perfect for most video editing and definitely great for still image editing.I whole heartedly recommend this monitor for Graphic Professionals. Color and performance are outstanding.

Awsome colors, dude!
I'm a *old* school gamer as well as a photographer/photo-editor. They had to pry my CRT from my cold, dead hands. So this is my second "gaming monitor" - the first one had such poor color resolution I had to return it. That seems to be par for the course for "gaming monitors," you sacrifice color accuracy for speed. Photos may look blotchy but they paint them quickly.THIS one though, has great color. Photos look great (maybe not as great as my old NEC Mulitsync, but you can't have everything.) "Good enough"It's also an awesome gaming monitor as advertised, 100 Hz with FreeSync - Fallout 4, Dragon Age Inquisition, and The Outer Worlds all look fantastic. I also like the connectivity - lots of USB ports to play with. The only drawback is that the OSD is a little clunky with invisible black buttons along the edge of the black monitor. But the saving grace is that the OSD includes well-placed labels over the buttons so you don't need to pull out your flashlight.Recommended.

Very happy with this purchase!
I was looking for an upgraded secondary monitor for my home office, and my son suggested a curved monitor so I started looking around. After a lot of research, I chose this viewsonic monitor and VERY happy with my decision. Quality is excellent with no dark viewing angles or dead pixels. The extra wide viewing area with the 34" version is perfect for putting up multiple documents, spreadsheets, presentations, etc. at once and has definitely improved my productivity.I wouldn't consider them "cons" but there was a slight "burn in" smell that lasted about a week and the base is quite large at about 1'4" wide and a full foot deep. I did get a wall mount arm just in case, but still using the stand a month later and getting used to it for now.Overall though... I'll never go back to a large flat monitor! This monitor has the perfect size and curvature and exactly what I needed.

Best Monitor I ever bought
Love the Size of this Montior. For work it is great working on spreadsheets as you do not have to go across 2 screen. It is easy on the eyes. The software include works great on windows but it has problems on the MAC side. I had to get a another program called switchresx in order to setup the 3840x1600 at 60 hz on the MacBook Pro 16". One I got that setup the monitor display looks great. It works great with photo editing. The only problem I have is how buggy the software is for the MAC. The software allow you to split your screen to different sizes and to do both PBP and PinP. I found on the MAC side it will just crash if you switch to your other machine. I have my Mac setup on the USB-c side and it passes Video, keyboard and mouse without problem. IF the monitor is on it will provide power to the laptop. Overall I think this is a great monitor and I am now looking at getting a second one.
