Super easy to use
Ok first off let me tell you if you are finisher you will love this tool, so much easier than pushing an angle box and not nearly as awkward. Now I have never used a Tapetech Mudrunner, so therefore this review will not be a "comparison". I bought this over the T.T. Mudrunner because it just seemed easier and better for the money. Now for the good, the pressure tip design works flawlessly, very little pressure is required for the joint compound to flow, there is also a "screw" type setting to control flow, the tool overall is very lightweight and extremely easy to use, also holds a generous amount of mud eliminating the need for multiple trips to the pump. It dis-assembles very easily and cleans up super easy with just your garden hose. Reassembly is also super easy as well.THE BAD - I shouldn't say BAD, because their really isn't any bad. But here goes, It is extremely difficult to load at first, My guess is that this will get easier over time, and that it is only difficult right now because it is "new" and there isn't much wear on the piston. In time, with continued use, I am sure pumping it full will not be as big of an issue. Also you are going to want your mud at a thinner consistency than "boxing" mud, I used my "boxing" mud the first time out, and I suspect that had allot to do with coverage issues (I had the tool "wide open" and mud flow wasn't quick enough.) The tool still did a super job, I just had to make more than one pass in most instances, so I assume my mud was indeed too thick. (Sidenote, I ran this with a 3.5 inch angle head by Level 5 tools.)Overall I am extremely happy with this tool (As of this writing I have used it one time on an 80 sheet job, 3 rooms.) I would and likely will buy this again in the future.

Dewalt Mud Shot is a winner!
I used this mud shot by Dewalt for the first time today. I can sum it up in one word. WOW! Easy to use. I used a manual corner box prior to this tool. With the mud shot it allows you to focus on the mud joint without dealing with the corner box added required control.

Costs me time and money
Right from the factory the filler tube was stuck, but I didn’t realize it until about the third job and then I had to fix it. Around the fifth job the rubber seal on the piston flipped backwards and the backside of the seal filled with mud. I spent more time trying to get this thing to work properly that I’ve actually used it. Junk.

Way easier on the body!
Much easier to run than the mud runner. The only thing it needs is someway toShut the mud off, so you can touch up an angle without applying more mud.
