Got this for my nephews who are 11 and 13 years old. They are having a ton of fun with it! The parts are a good size and colorful and unlikely to be lost easily which is a bonus. The 11 year old opened it and get working on projects right away with no assistance needed.

I had bought one of these a few years ago for my Grandson, he loved it. Hie dad got into it too. It helps teach basic electricity’s. After that, he received more advanced sets and is now a grown man that totally has a grip on electricity and electronics. So my 76 year old brother-n-law has dementia. Isn’t a game player and needed something to do, that easy. He had experience with electricity before, so I got this for him to exercise his brain, keep him busy and help his memory. He loved it being simple enough he can handle. Good for all ages. There are other sets you can build on after this. Great gift.

Back in the day, I had a 160 in 1 electronics project kit from Radio Shack where you would make connections with tinned wires and the spring connections. Using the snaps is a little more difficult, but it's also more durable. I've been using this to teach my 9 y/o nephew about electricity and electronics. I show him the voltages at different points in the circuits using my meter. So far, he's been having a blast. One thing that is notably missing from the project list is a radio. Besides that, this is a decent product.

I bought this for my girlfriend's 10 year old son for his birthday. He likes to take things apart and see what makes them tick ( as it so happens so do I). H e seriously was playing with this INSTEAD of the new Xbox One. That more than shocked the heck outta me. Even better his mom told me the next morning that he pulled this out and was playing with it before ever starting up the Xbox. I hope he will learn with it and not just make the sound chip work or the light or the speaker and tone changer work for giggles. He has asked me about some of the projects in the book that comes with it and I have helped him with some of the basics to get started. Overall, this is a surprisingly simple and safe set. I tried to shock myself with it a few different ways ( not while the 10 year old was around) and so far I haven't been able to draw much more than a tingle. I was surprised by that being all that happened and it soothed some ruffled feathers my girlfriend had. I think this will be a great teaching tool while being disguised as a toy. Time will tell if I end up making an electrician or if I need to get more broken things to teach him small engines, ac current devices, or HVAC.... time will tell.

Great distraction from electronics while on summer break. Endless summer fun!

Bought this for my nephew as a Christmas present. Can't wait for him to see it because he absolutely loved the starter set. These are a great learning toy. Definitely recommend.
