This finely hand-painted resin statuette depicts the dogma of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Standing on blue-tinged clouds with several little angels, Our Lady has her palms and eyes turned to the Heaven, towards which she is rising not only with her spirit, but also with her body, as set by the dogmatic definition of Pope Pius XII in 1950. The Mother of the Saviour wears a simple white robe, on which a blue drapery with a gold-coloured embroidery stands out. This 12 cm statue of Mary’s Assumption comes with a paper bookmark whose front side depicts the image of the statuette, while the back boasts a prayer in English. The figurine is delivered in a durable and refined gift box made of smooth, light brown cardboard. Thanks to its plastic window, you can easily see the figure without having to open the package. The same prayer you can find on the bookmark is printed on the front of the box, while on the other sides you can read some notes in English about the veneration of the Marian Assumption, along with the day of her celebration (August 15th). The attention to detail, the hand-painting and the finishes, as well as the elegance of the box, make this Mary's Assumption figure an appreciated gift idea. Weight: 72 g (137 g with box). Size: 3.5 cm (W), 13.3 cm (H), 3.3 cm (D). Packaging: 11.5 cm (W), 17 cm (H), 5 cm (D).
