This is a very impressive product. I was initially worried because it feels extremely sticky and it doesn't stick well to anything. Well after using the product, I no longer worry. It does NOT leave any sticky residue. It can be peeled up and replaced as many times as you want. My radar detector sits on it loosely but will not move even after quick stop tests. I can easily take anything off of it. It does well in extreme heat too, I live in Texas and have used this product in August letting it just sit in the sun and it still works great. I am not sure what this stuff is made of but it is impressive.

Keeps my radar detector in place and does it well. In hot weather, it doesn't melt away but does get a lot stickier. Haven't tried removing it from the dash yet, but I expect it to be a messy affair.

Looks like any other "magic mounting pad" for your radar detection until you receive it and find it's a flimsy material. Not only doesn't hold up to any heat exposure (will melt to your dash or radar detector...or both) but doesn't hold to anything, literally. Will bend in any direction without suction or stickiness while flopping over itself. Water has more rigidity then this PoS. Only started using it months ago and found it didn't hold up after only a few days. Got around to purchasing another one last week (Blue Lightning variant) and it's definitely higher quality - more rigid/stable and holds everything like glue except when removing from the dash - the way it should be. Would give this less than a star but Amazon doesn't make that possible. Do not buy this.

I was skeptical when I first received the pad as it looked really cheap and looks like one of those el cheapo 10 cent crap from China. Anyway, I said what the heck and just used it on my brand new radar detector. I laid the pad on my dash and put my radar detector on top of it. I started driving slowly thinking my radar detector will just fling right off but to my surprise that didn't happen. Ok, I'll drive a little faster and make couple of turns and guess what? My radar detector didn't even move a millimeter. Then I drove on the freeway and made some tight turns off the ramps and lo and behold it still didn't move at all. I can't believe how well it worked and I've been driving couple of days with it and couldn't be happier. I'm really glad I bought this instead of one those expensive dash mount thing. Will definitely buy again, highly recommended!

I ordered this product a while ago and used it to keep my radar detector on my dashboard instead of window.The adhesion on it was okay. My detector would fall off of it at too sharp and angle or if I took a hard stop/turn which was frustrating. The suction power was also just okay, as the pad itself would stay on my dashboard most of the time, the radar detector wouldn’t.I wasn’t too happy with the product overall, but it worked well enough for a couple of months. It’s a good value for money I paid, but is a short term solution.

The pad does a great job of holding my radar detector in place on the dashboard. When I try to take the detector off the dash, the pad is completely stuck to it. Don't waste your money on this unless you plan to leave something on the pad permanently.

I bought a radar detector and an adjustable stand for it earlier this year, and at first, everything seemed great -- then came the Texas summer. The adhesive I had placed on the bottom of the detector to keep the Velcro attached was constantly melting and falling apart, leading to the detector flying off my dash when I'd leave the office. I passed these weird "magic" mounting pads up the first time around, but decided to give one a shot after realizing my current setup simply wasn't going to work. So, after spending almost an hour with some rubbing alcohol and cotton swabs scraping the nasty leftover adhesive junk off the bottom of my detector (and yet it couldn't survive the heat!), I put this magic mounting pad on my dash and rested the now-clean detector on top, and... it's perfect. It doesn't move. It's not leaving residue on anything. It's easy to readjust. I wish I had just gone with this in the first place, but maybe someone else can learn from my fail.
