EVERYONE'S IMPRESSED!
The upright walker was recommended to me for use after knee replacement surgery. To have a walker that keeps me upright and not leaning forward adding more weight in an awkward position on my new knee is so much better for my recovery. No only have I been impressed with my walker, but there must have been at least a dozen hospital staff that stopped by my room to look at it and even take a few pictures of it. They had never seen such a walker and all agreed that it was much safer. At group therapy, others were complaining of back pain from the position they needed to be in to use a standard walker, but I have been able to walk very upright and have not suffered any back pain at all. I would highly recommend this product to anyone having knee surgery. The only drawback I can see is that it is designed for shorter people. I am 5'4" and have it set of the highest setting. Well worth the investment!.

This will enable me to walk with little or no back pain
I have a fractured spine and a lot of arthritis. Over the years as the disease has progressed, I have been able to walk less and less. When I was younger, and in fact until I hit 65, I was able to do at least 1/2 hour of low impact aerobics each day and dance the night away. In recent years, we have noticed that I have been able to walk (and shop) pushing a shopping cart with relative ease, but not much else. Since I need to be able to walk at other times than just shopping, we were pleased to find this upright walker. Standard walkers were no help, as I had to bend over too far to use them. Well, my Upright Walker arrived this morning, and I am very pleased with it. I now will be able to take a walk around my neighborhood using my new walker. It went together in a snap, and it is very stable. Thank you for giving me my life back!

Works good but not for everyone
Got this for my wife's grandma, we were able to maneuver it well through the house. However some issues I had with it was, the back bar you have to pop off in order to fold it. This was difficult for 30 year old me, granny in here 80s, yeah right that wasn't happening. If you just leave it off it's not as sturdy. Also, when folding it is a bit of work to fold in the wheels if you're putting it in a truck of a car to get it super small you have to pull pins our and then fold wheels in. Thankfully we had a SUV so we just had to fold it once we got that stupid support bar off. The seat was also a bit low and hard for her to stand from sitting on it without assistance. Also she wasn't able to use this to get up from her chair to go walking like her older style walker b/c of the design. Learning to use it will take a little while as it works different from the typical walkers, you have to steer like bicycle handles and remember that the back wheel protrude out and are a little further back there for walking around corners or going through doors. You also don't have to pick it up to turn so that's nice if you can get the user use to it. My biggest fear was when using it to go down the ramp if it hits a small rock or grip strip it kind of wants to dump you forward. I think if someone can get around ok this may be better than for someone who struggles getting around as it will move quickly with you and the break handles aren't really designed for older feeble hands. We're returning it as it just didn't fit the bill for my wife's grandma case but my wife and I like it and thought it was good. Last thing is if you are short this will work for you but if you're 5'10" or taller you may want to find a different one as you will not be standing straight up. Build quality was good, just not super super stable feeling mostly due to the height I would imagine.

BE SHORT
I purchased this item thinking that it would allow me to stand in the upright position. My wife assembled it in no time and it look promising. That was until I stood up and found that this product was made for people at a maximum height of five foot three inches, I am six foot one inches and it is not working for me. Had I known in there advertisement that it was built for small people. I would not has wasted the money or time to buy this product. The seat is so low that even my wife of five feet three inches had a difficult time getting out of it. If you needed hand grips to assist you from the sitting position forget it there are none. The seat is low and without grip you might die in the chair.

Some instructions required, only for short people
Product was as described, appears sturdy. Overall, this could be useful for a person about 5'7" at most, and only if they have good balance, which means that you probably don't need a walker.First issue was the instruction sheet for the assembly. Many typos, poor pictures, very small. The picture on the box was how I assembled the walker. Folks need to remember that old eyes are probably putting this thing together!Second issue is the height of the walker. Advertised to work for a person up to 6'5", it made me lean over at 5'10". I bought the walker for my dad who is over 6' to help get him to stand up straight when he walks. Obviously that did not work out as planned, if he tries to use the arm pads as the product is designed. I'm not sure why nobody makes oversized walkers for people who are tall.Third issue, brakes work the back wheels, but the wheels slide on most indoor surfaces even when locked in place by the brakes. We tried it on laminate flooring and carpet, my dad was able to push the walker as if it there were no brakes applied.Fourth issue, balance. The front wheels turn easily but have a tendency to turn backwards. Moving forward when the wheels are turned backwards causes the walker to be tipped over easily.I would neither recommend for against buying this product, but I would advise caution if you decide to give it a try.

A Very Sturdy Walker
I purchased this walker to help me get around after a spinal fusion operation. I found it was extremely easy to assemble. After assembly, I was pleasantly surprised at how strong, sturdy yet lightweight it is. I was always able to maintain my balance while using it and it maneuvers very well.
