I use a wired WS base unit at my home for watching TV, but this thing works fantastic for travelling or visiting friends! Just lay it in front of the TV and turn on the unit and the receiver and enjoy TV at YOUR volume! You will need a MIC to go with it, and the WS MIC 014 Omnidirectional MIC is a perfect mate! the transmitter had a strong buzz right out of the box. I put another set of brand new batteries, reset the transmitter to factory settings, changed channels and nothing. I received a faulty transmitter. I contacted amazon and they helped me with the return. very efficient. I still have not received the actual refund, but they said I should get it in the upcoming days.I definitely need to buy another transmitter, but I'll probably get it through a different supplier.

Just what I needed to translate. We use the Williams Sound PPA R37 receivers and work perfectly!
