Loved it it works like it should

As in other reviews my red power wire didn't work ... if you read in the description it actually says if you have OnStar the power wire won't work .. easiest solution I found to this problem was to tap the power wire into the main power from the ignition with a fuse in line easy to reach easy to tap into under steering wheel . I would suggest using a wire loom cover to make sure it cannot get rubbed through and shorted out. Also with some stereos you should not use the brown mute wire in this adapter it will cause issues cause your radio to mute when you don't want it to I would not use that wire or leave it disconnected in the wireing loom😊👍

I've seen a lot of reviews saying the harness doesn't work. Some vehicles, mine for example (2005 Impala) don't have switched 12v power wires in the radio harness. You have to run the red wire to a switched 12v power source, by tapping into a wire of fuse. If you're not capable of properly wiring, soldering, and don't have a multimeter/wiring diagram to find a 12v switched source I would not attempt this on your own.It is a direct plug into the factory harness and worked great for me. Super convenient!

I'll still give a good review because everything came in good condition, but i'm only going to give it 3 stars because it says it works for a 06 Colorado and doesn't work. Wires do NOT match with it.

Ok for all of those that had posted a one star review over the RED wire not working. If you pull a wiring diagram you will find that there is no keyed power wire. Yes for aftermarket radio installation you will need to run a wire from your fuse box that shuts on and off with the key.

I disliked that a diagram or instructions weren't provided. I got it for a 2005 chevy cavalier and we are an hour and a half into install time.
