Lisle39190 Heater Hose Disconnect for GM

This little tool was worth every penny. I was replacing my coolant hoses and while I was in there I replaced the plastic heater core connector with the aluminum one that everyone uses as an upgrade. Honestly getting the hoses off the connector was more time consuming than getting the connector off the core with this tool. Once you get one off the other is pretty easy. One of mine required a bit more leverage to pop free but without this I would have been fighting for a bit. Also I truly believe the metal version is much better for the heater core adapter than the plastic 5 pack they sell. You need that structure for the leverage. The issue is I'm not sure when I'll ever use this again. Cool tool to have though. (2006 GMC 1500HD 6.0L)

I gave 4/5 because while this worked great to remove one hose, the one immediately to the left had less clearance due to sound/temp protection on the firewall and this would not fit. I ended up borrowing a plastic HF version which worked for that particular side.

Don't make the mistake I did trying the cheap plastic tool first, this is Great quality and won't break in half while trying to get into place, highly recommend
