Bright Turquoise Ink
I love blue inks, in all shades and hues. I find Teal and Turquoise colors to be bright and full of joy, and they make writing even more fun. I use Lamy Turquoise as one of my standard inks for all of my fountain pens, because I've never had a pen misbehave with this ink due to non-obstructive ink starvation. The surface tension is low enough to flow easily from the reservoir/converter/cartridge through the feed and nib and onto the paper in every brand of fountain pen I own. Beautiful bright color that shades nicely, well behaved ink, easy to clean out...and the bottle comes with a roll of blotting paper in a dispenser on the bottom of the bottle, so you can quickly and easily clean up your pen after refilling it.

A Good Ink for Fountain Pen Initiates
I recently starting using a refillable fountain pen after using a disposable for a while to see how they wrote. I have a LAMY Safari and bought this ink to go along with it, along with the refill converter. So far this ink has performed very well, writes nicely on most papers and surface types, does take a moment to dry but is fine if you are patient. The bottle design is genius, meaning that you don't have to waste any of the ink. The bottel is sturdy and looks nice on a desktop. The blotting paper in the base is genius. I had no idea that one actually had to stick the entire nib into the ink to refill, and this can make quite a mess until you get adept at it. The blotting paper, which is perforated to tear in neat pieces soaks up any extra ink. Note: tear off the piece before you refill you pen. I would recommend this ink to anyone who isn't too concerned with how expensive their ink is. This is the working man's ink bottle. It will likely be overlooked by fountain pen aficionado's but if you aren't "that important", this ink is a quality choice, not only for the price but for the utility and thoughtfulness of design.

Great for fountain pen newbies, lovely color
I am brand new to fountain pens. I just purchased my first fountain pen, a Lamy 2000 in EF, and this Lamy Turquoise ink to go with it. Coming from ballpoints/gel pens, I was nervous that I'd be waiting forever for it to dry, or that it would bleed through everything I write on or smear, but I am happy to report that I am having no real issues. So far, the only time I've seen some slight bleed through is on cheap notebook paper when I've gone over a spot more than once. Dry time was good on my Hobonichi/tomoe river paper and had very minimal ghosting on reverse pages. I love the bright color and the fact that the bottle is equipped with the paper roll underneath to wipe your pen off after filling. Makes it super easy for a beginner to not make a complete mess. The bottle comes to a point at the bottom so I assume it's easier once you are getting to the bottom of the jar to get to the remaining ink. Since this is my first ink purchase ever, I don't really have anything else to compare it to, but I am really happy with it.

Great ink for casual or class notes.
I am a law school student, and love fountain pens. It's all I write with. This black ink is pleasingly dark, with some nice shades to it. It doesn't require great paper, but will feather on super cheap notebooks. I started using Mead Composition notebooks, no feathering, and beautiful writing with my Lamy Al-Star and this ink. About the blotting paper, for any of you complaining that it retracted into the bottle and is forever lost, fear no more. You can seperate the glass ink container from the plastic blotting paper container, and unwind more paper out of the slot on the side and voila! Paper is back! The ink bottle also h a reservoir in the middle, that dips deep than the rest of the bottle so you can take advantage of the most ink possible. Cap seals tight, has never leaked, and this ink doesnt show much show through or however you call it, on the opposite side of the pages. NOT waterproof, NOT bulletproof, etc. just basic ink with amazing color and AMAZING bottle design. Dont judge it for what its not claimed to be. Want waterproof, buy waterproof.Btw, nib creep on lamy safaris and al-stars is a common issue, I'veI've experienced with many different inks besides lamy bottle ink. Does not affect performance in any way.

A standard Lamy ink that's actually worthwhile - Lamy Black
I love my Lamy Safaris and my Lamy 2000 is amongst my very favorite pens. It's a crying shame that with these awesome pens, Lamy has always included a cartridge of their blue ink, which is the worst blue ink to ever find its way to my papers. An amazing fountain pen with the worst blue ink. Why, Lamy, why?So when someone recommended Lamy Black to address feathering problems with my extremely wet flex nib writing on HP Premium 32 lb. paper, I cringed -- but I went ahead and bought a bottle, even though I now have 16 black fountain pen inks. I kinda know black inks. I was pleasantly surprised with Lamy Black. I had fun matching it up against famous top-of-the-line black inks. It held its ground in most cases. It is not the darkest black, but it is dark. It is not the most saturated, but it is saturated. It dries without a noticeable sheen. It did not feather on the HP 32 lb, or Rhodia or Black 'n Red papers, even at maximum flex, where I'm laying down a 2mm line. It did feather a bunch on the copier paper, even with a light hand. It flows consistently, on the dry side. Dry times were less than 5 seconds on copier, 22 seconds on HP 32 lb., and quite long on Rhodia, exceeding 30 seconds. When flexing or using wet wide nibs there is slight shading. The ink bottle looks great on my desk too. It includes a blotter paper that pulls out from the bottle base. It follows the Bauhaus design philosophy, as the Lamy pens do.Overall, it's a very attractive black ink that's well-behaved. It's a good value at this price point.

Classic, black ink.
Fantastic. No spills in shipping, wide mouth to make ink convertering a breeze. I've been using Lamy and Pilot fountain pens for about a year now. I love having a big ink pot to refill as needed. Nobody takes my pen anymore because it sticks out. Convenient and easy to use. Definitely will buy again when I run through this one!

Nice dark colour
Good ink with nice solid colour and not opaque. I guess I should have expected this quality from Lamy - very satisfied. The blotting paper was more convenient than I expected to clean my fountain pen tip after refilling. It's more absorbent than I realized with a paper towel-like front texture and a backing layer that prevents bleed through or ink staining if you set it on the table.

Beautiful bottle, beautiful ink
Bought for my daughter to go with a special birthday pen purchase. The ink is a lovely deep blue/black, the bottle glass and heavy, the little sleeve around the bottle full of blotting paper (remember that stuff??!!).Will last for ages. Highly recommended.

Good ink, bad packaging
I dont know if it was just me, but this packaging looked like the box has just been sitting in a warehouse for the longest time. You cant get this kind of damage from international shipping. Nevertheless, the ink was good, flows really well.
