Easy Pop Melodies: for Flute

My daughter is really excited to be able to play the songs, but she still is not able to play most of them after her first full year of lessons. I am also a little disappointed that the song “like a Virgin” is in there. My 10-year-old does it need to be playing that song!

I bought this for my 11 year old that's only been playing flute for less than a year, and they LOVE it! They were immediately able to pick it up and play popular music that they know, which makes practicing over summer vacation more fun :-)

The songs in this book are great. And every song fits on a page or two (no flipping pages during a song).But I haven't found any songs in the Key of C.New flute player here...so to play the songs, I have to learn not just basic notes, but flat notes (Ab, Bb, Eb etc.) To be able to play the songs.But the songs have chord names above the staff, and lyrics, so one can play and sing along with a Ukulele or Guitar.

Our daughter really enjoys the songs and has helped her become more fluent in playing music.

I was so easy to follow and the songs were writing spot on.

It works but it would have been better had they put chords so that you can be accompanied by a guitar. Some of the key signatures of the pieces are also too complicated for a beginner flute player and I hope that they transposed it to a easier key signature.

Excellent selection of flute pieces

I was looking for something fun for my daughter to break up the formality of her lessons, but nothing too difficult. This is perfect-a good mixture of recognisable tunes, perfectly suited to lower grades (about 2-4 I would suggest).
