very, VERY pleased with this nice cool toned brown
The media could not be loaded. Purchased 4.0 Dark BrownFor the longest time I used a natural hair colorant and then one day it did not seem to get the deep brown shade that I longed for. I am 43 years old and my once medium brown hair is probably 50% grey from age, stress, and pain. I started dabbling in other brands and this is the first time I have tried Garnier Olia.I must say I am very happy with the color. The brown is cool toned which is what I need. I guess you would call me a "cool winter" as far as color. I run between pale skin in the winter to a medium skin tone in the summer with pink undertones. I have grey eyes. I look good in colors such as black, blue-red, deep purple, just about all blues, etc.I colored my hair a few days ago and when rinsing it out. I just used conditioner. I find this helps the color sit and take longer. I then washed it 2 days later with a mild shampoo followed by conditioner. In the last number of days, I have actually gotten a number of compliments on my hair, which, it has been a long time since that happened. I used to get compliments all the time, but as I got older it slowly stopped. Now that I have gone back darker, THIS seems to be my shade and, I am going to stick with it for awhile.I have hair that is past my waist and this whole kit seemed to cover my roots and actually do my entire head with a pretty even color. I think, it you wanted a more uniform, deep color and your hair is super long, perhaps a bottle and a half to two? I was actually happy with the one bottle.I have never paid to have my hair colored. I have always done it myself. It is so easy these days. This brand did not seem to damage my hair. Since it is long and I am 'older' I am pretty particular about my hair products. I follow my washes with Bumble and Bumble Invisible Oil and usually something by Living Proof and then I sleep on it all overnight. I wash at night to let my hair pick up some natural oils since my hair is normal to dry in nature. Using this hair color did not change my hair texture, if anything, it feels a little better, a little less frizzy at the ends. This is good.Overall ... I will be purchasing this brand and this color again. Very pleased. Please see the video for before and afters. I think I probably had an inch of grey grown out and my previous color and brand had faded a lot.

YES!!! It DOES color white hair!!!
OK, I'm an "older" woman who has thin shoulder length white hair. Or I should say HAD. My hair is still thin, but my totally white (not grey) hair went to totally black again!!!. I stopped coloring my hair 3 years ago because of the mess., and chemicals, but recently got tired of looking at that awful white, which made me look and feel disgusting, not to mention, look way older than I am. This Olia is a game changer!!! First of all, no smell. No mess either. I used to get the black stain all over my hands and shower when rinsing. The other product dripped and stained my face too. Olia only stained my hair. Since I have thinner hair, I only kept this on for 20 minutes. The enclosed after-coloring cream made my thin frizzy hair feel more like normal. It takes a lot to impress me, but this sure did!

Like the color, hate the applicator - 3.5 stars
My hair is somewhat coarse, curly, frizzy, shoulder-length and over 95% white. I used to color it myself until I started going to a salon about 18 years ago when my hair was starting to look brassy. I’ve since been using a darker color, which does make me look younger.I have a problem with the stuff my hairdresser has been using for the past few years. The roots are fine, but every few months she’d apply a temporary color to the rest to pull the color through. Every time that was done my hair would become more damaged. So I took a chance a month ago and started to use this.Is my hair better than it was? Yes, definitely, although you aren’t suddenly going to have healthy moisturized hair. Apparently that’s going to take some time as well as some trimming.I’m using a medium brown. The first time I used it I applied the color to my hardest to color areas 3 times and left it on for the required 30 minutes. That wasn’t enough time and there was no evidence I’d applied any color at all to my temples. The second time I used this I left it on for 45 minutes and that’s holding pretty well. The color looks nice and I figure I’m saving about $500 a year by doing it myself. The conditioner is nice and I'm averaging 3 uses out of it.I’m not happy with the actual packaging. The applicator is a big plastic bulb. Add the developer and the color—and in both cases you have to squeeze the tubes like crazy to make sure you get all of the product out—then put your finger over the end and shake it. The problem is that my hands aren’t large enough to put a finger over the end and shake this thing. So I either have to shake it with 2 hands or don’t break off the tip until it’s mixed. My fingers aren’t long enough to fit around the bulb applicator, so between the gloves and the size of this thing, it’s too easy to drop. You shouldn’t have to stop and clean the floor while applying color. So I’m happy with the color and the improvement I am seeing with the condition of my hair, and I love how much money I’m saving. But I’d be giving this more stars if the applicator was easier to deal with.

Just as advertised and expected
Just as advertised and expected. I didn't end up using it, so I can't speak for the actual product's outcome.

Excellent product!
I’ve been using Olia for years After years of salon colorings. Once I found Olia I never looked back. The Pearl Blond is very nice for my medium blond come graying hair. Covers really well too. There are no harsh chemicals so it is a win for your hair. I read one review about messy combining and slippery bottles. Can’t say I’ve encountered those even after all these years. I only use the tip of a glove when shaking and the glove isn’t on. The conditioner is super. I use it until it is all gone. Olia just keeps getting better. Thanks!

worked great on bleached, damaged asian hair!
I got this in light intense auburn. My hair had really been through the ringer lol, with box dye a few times as well as several bleachings. Before this, my hair was a medium, patchy all-over blonde (at-home bleach job) that had been toned but was still somewhat yellow, especially at the roots. This dye took wonderfully and gave me a nice, lovely, mostly even red. It's a little more dark and plum in real life than in the photo. I have really thick, coarse, asian hair and two boxes of this was more than enough. It didn't make my hair feel more damaged than it was before, it feels about the same if not better, actually. Highly recommend, I'll probably repurchase!

Gentle On Hair
Coloured my roots nicely. The product is very thick & I had a slight problem getting all the color out of the bottle but the result is good. Covered the dark hair at the back & grey in the front. I will use this product every time now.
