This is a very nerdy book, in which painful detail of each of the steps taken to redate such an important document. All such effort is justified by the deep implications for history, and Western civilization this small document has.

I had seen the documentary and i had read some articles about the issue! I bought the book and i found out that is better than i expected it to be! First of all it' s a fun book to read! You read it and you have a great time! You learn a lot of stuff but in a so good and pleasant way! About the message of the book i think that in the battle between logic and prepossession the writers are in the side of logic! In the battle between faith and atheism the writers are in the side of faith! Enough with the theologians who don' t believe. For start they should stop getting paid from theological schools. They are like the sellers who criticize their product in the worst way! If you don' t like the product, don' t sell it mister! Sell something diferent! The writers are faithfull and they are good scientists at the same time! Their work is not just faith! It' s about how science and forensic evidence corroborate faith, it' s about how new divelopments in science show that christian tradition is correct! Buy the book and read it. I am a Theologian from Greece and i read all the time. I can assure you that it' s book you will enjoy, it' s a book you will learn from it and it' s a book you will be proud to have it in your library. Five stars from me, a breeze of fresh air in the almost dry land of modern theology!

After having watched "Eyewitness to Jesus", I was delighted to find a newer and more updated version of facts to the movie. The only complaint I have is that the photos weren't in color and the paper wasn't of better quality as I would have liked to have this in my library for a length of time that I could pass it down to my children. The story of the fragments being discovered and sitting in a library in England for decades before being re-discovered is adventure enough; but, to find the fragments able to stand the test of time was most heartening.

The concepts contained in this book are so revolutionary as they pertain to our ability to date the writing of the Gospels, every serious student of the Bible needs to read this material and continue to seek the truth of the claims as stated. The material contained within, if substantiated, will turn the scholarly world of Epistemology on its head! The Jesus Papyrus
