Gloom: Unfortunate Expeditions (2nd Edition)

This expansion deck adds a fun quirky new family to the mix as well as some new card types to expand on the amount of craziness that can happen in each game. I really like the theme of jungle exploration gone wrong in this set. I now own all of the other expansion decks for Gloom and I have to say this is my favorite one.The Second Edition now features a distinguishing icon on the cards so that you can easily tell the cards in this set from the cards of the base set or from the other Second Edition expansion sets. This makes it far easier to separate the cards back to their original sets if you like to mix in different expansions to make each game more unique.Requires the base deck of the game Gloom to play. The base game includes 4 families for 4 players. If you enjoy larger games with 5+ players the expansion sets are a must as each new family adds the option for more players.

If you bought the 4 pack bundle, this is one of the expansions you are missing, aside from the Cthulhu version and expansion which I personally don't consider for what I call as the Base and basic expansions. It introduces expeditions in the rules and a new family.

I liked the add-on of a new family but i feel adding new dimensions to the game was not really necessary. Still worht the buy.

I normally play gloom with 3 + other people, so this expansion is great! It makes the game a little longer with out being too long. I will be picking up the other expansions as well. Nice to find a card game that the same group of people can play multiple times with out boredom..

Such a fun game, my husband and I bought all the expansion packs, we always bring it when visiting friends. We think it's more fun than cards against monotonous.
