How many pages does this hold

Unlike a standard D Ring, The binder has 3" outside dimension with about an 1/8" missing on each side due to fastening mechanism. This leaves 2 3/4" of space for essentially stacked paper. The general rule of thumb is 100 pages/inch but this can increase with light grade paper. So 275 pages minimum. I've put over 250 pages in several of them.

What if I order the 2: binder for 1 5/8" of paper? Is the binder flexible to accomodate less paper than the max?

The binder is not flexible. The metal post stays at 2" no matter how much paper you put it.

Does anyone use this as an agenda? How does it work for you if used daily

First off, these binders are great. I use them where I can keep adding to it by flipping it upside down, where the spring board unattaches on the back side.
