I have been using this spice for more than fifteen years to cook salmon. Just noticed that the number one ingredient is sugar, yet in the nutritional information it says zero calories and zero grams of sugar. What Up Paul Prudhomme?

I've been using Salmon Magic for years, and needed a bunch of it for a cookoff. Lucky me, Amazon had it in giant containers.Salmon Magic isn't a subtle seasoning, but it also doesn't take away from the natural flavor of salmon. If anything, it enhances the natural flavor, with a touch of sweetness and a touch of mustard-like flavor that has consistently had people asking how I grill my fish.Works well whether you're doing a slow cook, or if you're going face-down and almost blackened. I don't know that I'd buy the 24 oz. monster size if you're just trying it, but do try it if you grill salmon.
