Larger than for a helmet's needs
Nice sturdy plastic. Large for bags and other items. I was going to use them for my kids helmet, but it might be too big. It is great for duffle bags, back packs and like items

Works great and is sturdy
I bought this to replace a buckle on my fanny pack that had broken (due to getting slammed in the car trunk when closing the trunk). I couldn't figure out how to install it but my husband got it quickly installed and said it seemed more heavy duty than the original buckle. This saved me from having to buy a new fanny pack, which would not have been cheap as it is a nice Eddie Bauer pack with pockets to hold water bottles. I could have gotten Eddie Bauer to replace it (they are great about replacing stuff even when it's old) but then I would have had to go to the store during the pandemic, which I didn't want to do. And I don't think they make that style of pack anymore. So this buckle saved the day for me.

Exactly as described
Had a clip break on a bag of mine and these were the perfect replacement

This double-ladderlock (2-end adjustable) buckle is much less common than 1-pin + ladderlock.
This double-ladderlock (2-end adjustable) buckle is not very common. It will not help in a field situation where a buckle breaks out of a stitched webbing loop. Undoing the stitching will be difficult and the resulting strip of webbing may be too short to work in the ladderlock.I bought this for a different purpose. I wanted to interchange parts from this item with a bad Mythfly product (see below). Unfortunately, the parts could not be interchanged. I returned this product. See below to understand these buckles more fully and the other faulty product.WARNING INCORRECT PRODUCT INFORMATION !!!!! "Field Repair Buckles - Mythfly Adjustable Two-Pin Side Release Buckle Ladderlock 1 Inch Flat Release Buckles"All 5 images are different from the product being repeatedly sent. The images show a two-part buckle with 1 pin on the female side and an adjustable ladderlock on the male side. The product being sent has 2 pins and NO ADJUSTABLE side. I have a variety of backpacks, 14 with the 1 pin + adjustable ladderlock style, 4 with the double-ladderlock (2-side adjustable) style, and ZERO with the two-pin style from Mythfly/Amazon. What Mythfly pictures is common, but what they actually provide is uncommon and does not do the job. I asked Amazon to correct the err, but four times they sent the wrong item. Then I tried to correct Mythfly/Amazon's error by ordering double-ladderlocks from which I could pull out a substitute for the missing Mythfly part. I spent over an hour searching the options and pictures and found two manufacturers that looked like they would be interchangeable with Mythfly. Unfortunately they don't work.Amazon claims this product has 187 ratings with 72% at the 5 star level. This is puzzling. Perhaps without inspecting this item, those 139 people put it in their backpack for an emergency. When the emergency arises, they will find the Mythfly product doesn't do the job. Or perhaps the ratings are inaccurate. In the beginning of this frustrating saga, I reported the incorrect product information to Amazon. To add insult to injury, Amazon ignored me and reduced the price 10 cents below what they had charged me (but not refunded). Then Amazon re-posted the exact same INCORRECT product information and gave it an "Amazon Choice" recommendation. I think it is unconscionable that Amazon would intentionally try to cause other customers the frustrations they have caused me. How can I ever trust Amazon again?

Handy and easy to attach!
I added these buckles to the straps on my inexpensive bike rack. The straps are extra length from the mounting straps on the rack that I was tying through the wheels and around the bicycle frame to provide additional security to hold my bicycle securely to my car and keep them from dangling. These buckles help secure the bike to the rack, keep the straps from dangling, and make the process of securing everything quicker. And by doing this I don’t need to buy additional bungee cords that I kept having to replace after losing.
