These sugar free Twizzlers taste every bit as good as the regular ones!
I have always loved Twizzlers, not the black since the company has changed the recipe but they thankfully left the strawberry Twizzlers alone. These sugar free bags of delight arrived in a box. I remembered reading about the effects of eating too many could do to some people. I opened the bag and intended to eat the safe limit of 2-3 but they were SO GOOD I threw caution to the wind and ate the entire package. The trouble started late that very day..the rumbling, grumbling, pains, and feeling of nausea. By the next morning I found myself on the toilet expelling gas like never before. It poured out of me like a dam had just broken! Over and over..all day long. But woefully, I didn’t learn a thing because a few days later I heard the call of the red swirling sticks and couldn’t resist. Did I stop at 2-3 this time? You bet I didn’t! Knowing full well what would happen I devoured yet another entire bag of this delight. I waited and waited for what I was sure was to come but this time nothing happened. Hey! Perhaps it was just my body getting used to whatever in the strawberry twirls.. was so happy, so hopeful!I waited a few days and couldn’t resist eating another package of this delicious 😋 licorice. Well, I wasn’t so fortunate this time. I spent a lot of my day on the toilet, lamenting my enjoyment of this so delicious candy that I knew I was going to have to bid adieu. I knew as long as it was in my possession I wasn’t going to be able to stop my yearning for it. How unfair to find something that you love so much and have to deny yourself! There were still bags of this yummy stuff left so I decided to give the rest away in the hope that the next victim could digest the sugar free Twizzlers with ease. Not everyone experiences these 🧨 explosive episodes I have heard about and experienced myself.A good price for these tasty morsels, they are more narrow than the regular Twizzlers but other than that and the explosive effects some of us have you can’t tell the difference. No easy feat in the taste field of sugar free products! 😉

Beware of digestive effects
In my effort to lose weight I've been trying to cut down on refined carbs and sugar, but I can never seem to overcome my compulsive urge to eat snacks throughout the day (and night). I bought these sugar-free Twizzlers in hopes of satisfying my snacking compulsion, without consuming excess sugar & carbs.I liked the flavor, texture, freshness, etc. and they're handy as a quick snack to temporarily satisfy my craving for a little taste of something moderately sweet (they're not extremely sweet tasting, in my opinion, but just sweet enough). The problem is, if you're a compulsive snacker like myself, and have a hard time eating just one piece, the alcohol-derived sweeteners in these (and in nearly every other sugar-free candy on the market) can often cause a very uncomfortable, unpleasant after-effect called osmotic diarrhea. It's unlikely to happen after eating just one or two pieces, but if you go overboard like I did a few times, eating 6 or more pieces in a short period of time (within 20 minutes or so), depending on your body's individual sensitivity level to alcohol-derived sugar substitutes, you may find yourself making frequent trips to the bathroom with watery diarrhea combined with huge amounts of "trapped" gas gurgling in your stomach & intestinal tract for 12-24 hours. All in all, I really like these sugar-free Twizzlers and I would recommend them to others, but just like with other sugar-free candy, don't eat too many at once! You'll regret it for an entire day afterwards.

Health
The taste is good but I have to warn you I think sugar alcohols are very dangerous especially if you have illness they can cause severe diarrhea stomach pain or just make you sick my opinion about candy and cookies or anything that's made with sugar alcohol for consumption of food Should be taken off the market this is the second time I brought candy made with sugar alcohol and it made me and my daughter very sick please take care of yourself don't buy it it's dangerous I would not lie or give a serious review like this.

Great flavor, but the stomach issues are pretty bad
I love the flavor of these and it really reminds me of the real deal. However, that being said, these use maltitol as the sugar substitute. Normally I haven't had any issues with the sugar alcohols in various products (sorbitol, xylitol, other products with maltitol, etc) but for whatever reason, these send my stomach into overdrive. I know everyone using sugar-free products eventually finds something that'll cause these types of issues, and this was it for me.I'd stick to the recommended 4 pieces for a serving but even that was too much for my digestive system. It's too bad because I really do like the taste, the texture, etc. as someone who enjoys the real product. Unfortunately I had to throw out the rest of the packs in my box (nobody else I know likes Twizzlers at all, much less a sugar-free variety that they know caused me so many problems). Bummer.Summary, I don't know why I can tolerate other products with maltitol, but not these, but it definitely hit me hard. Beware... try a sample pack before you go out and buy a box that you may end up tossing like I did.
