Keeping the Chicken Coop Cool
I have two of these fans hooked up to a 12v battery and temperature sensor to keep the air in my chicken coop moving during the heat here in South Carolina. They keep the air moving and are very quiet during operation. The weather hasn't bothered them a bit.

Extremely quiet.
Fan is so quiet you need to visually see if it is turning to know it's on. Moves a good amount of air to keep a small boat freezer and small refrigerator, both mounted in cabinets, running cool.

Affordable, aesthetically pleasing, solid quality, quiet - the perfect case fan
Bought these with some NF-S12B's to put in a new system for the living room in a Noctis 450. I've been a faithful Noctua fan for a many builds and have always gotten great performance out of their products. However, the main product line's color scheme has always bothered me. I also have a machine full of the Industrial PPC line, which do a phenomenal job at cooling and look great in black; but sound like a jet taking off.I wanted something quiet and high-performant that matched the black and silver theme of this build, as it has a Rampage IV Black from my workstation, which I was upgrading, and Corsair Dominator RAM. I was pleased to discover this product line from Noctua, which promised significantly lower noise profiles than other 'silent' fans. After installing these, I was really impressed with how quiet they were. Then, having an Asus motherboard, I ran the Fan Expert tuning system and then set it to the Silent profile. Between the fans and the software, you literally can't tell the computer is on now if I've say, switched source on the TV to another device like our PS3. The Noctis has a red light that it casts on the floor, and we have to use that to verify the machine is on if it's asleep or the source is switched. The machine is that quiet. We installed a Vive on this machine, and the noise from the base stations, which isn't very loud... is * louder than the computer *. The PS3, which used to be the quietest device in the room, and is indeed fairly quiet, especially compared to, say, the XBox 360, now sounds like a feight train by comparison. Even at full voltage, as other reviewers have said, these fans will still be quieter than any other fan on the market.I've run Prime95 with Real Temp GT and the fans got just barely louder under load, while CPU temps remained relatively frosty thanks to the H100i I have installed.So...Pros:- At ~$15, much cheaper than many silent fans, some of which cost $30 nowadays, and cheaper than most other Noctua fans- Truly silent operation- Noctua build quality- A cool color scheme that, being gray, truly will match any systemCons:Truly, noneDo note that this fan is just that, a fan. It comes with screws, but none of the dampeners, voltage regulating cables or extension cables most Noctua fans come with. Personally, I prefer that, as that stuff (other than the dampeners) usually ends up in a junk box somewhere. I installed these with a set of compatible Noctua dampeners, the NA-SAV2's, in red. (Note that this fan is not compatible with the corner-style NA-SAVP1 dampeners). If you want a truly silent fan that will last forever, get this fan. You will * not * be disappointed. This review applies to the NF-S12B as well.

It's not exactly a "free return" with a prime membership now
If you leave close enough to an authorized UPS shipping spot that accepts the QR code, it's free. Otherwise it's almost 6 bucks to return the item by printing out your shipping label and taking somewhere close like Staples or CVS. So even though this product looks like it's fantastic and great, for a computer scalable to the incredible hulk's size, it gets a 3 from me. At least I know now, unless I'm 100% certain the product is going to fit my needs, I will refrain from purchasing through here. Ever AGAIN.

Significantly quieter, just as good temps.
I purchased these to replace the 120mm Arctic and Corsair fans in my NZXT H510 case. These are only a few dollars more, and are SIGNIFICANTLY quieter, especially at full load. They have just about the same rated CFM, too. I don't have an overclocked "enthusiast" machine, but it's no slouch (Ryzen X series and GTX1080), and I run 4K games and demanding apps regularly. I found my temps to be just as good--if not better--with three of these and a single 120mm version, and the PC is so, so much quieter. Part of that is also the Noctua CPU cooler I got, but the fans definitely contribute. One thing I'd say is to get the rubber corner pieces as well--I had to selectively tighten/loosen certain screws to avoid some minor fan contact and noise, which I am going to solve by just adding the corner bumpers. These are great value, in an attractive colorway.

More noisy than other Noctua fans
I'm used to the brown Noctua fans and have loved them for years. This is a cheaper stripped down version, with no accessories, different bearings, and apparently a different motor. Especially when hard mounted (it doesn't come with soft mounts like the brown Noctua fans) it has a rather obvious buzzy annoying sort of "grrrrr" motor noise. The fan blades are fairly quiet about moving air but the motor/bearing noise is disappointing. And all this despite this being the lowest speed version of this fan and using BIOS to slow it down much further. Even at 450 rpm this fan has a mechanical noise that's plainly audible when it's mounted to the chassis. Noctua has really slipped in their quality. I now prefer much less expensive fans that are quieter moving similar amounts of air like some of the better Arctic models. I've never had a Noctua or Arctic fan fail even after years of 7/24 use. I'm less certain about these "Redux" fans given the unpleasant noises they make which may also imply a shorter life from cheaper bearings.

Very happy with this product`
Replace an equivalent fan by a different brand, and this one is *silent* for only a few bucks more than the original. It's spinning next to my head I cannot hear a thing; it's amazing!

Quiet fans for a very good price
Absolutely silent on low-mid RPMs, still very quiet maxed out. The only sound is the air movement.

Worth spending the extra money to replace existing fans. At the same RPM they are roughly 5-10dB lower.
