This works very well and very easy. Heats up right away and hardly ever bends the sides or crinkles. The last laminator we had things would crinkle and get stuck often. This one works like a charm and we have had it for about a year now. Still working great!

Just plug it in and wait for the little light to come on and you're ready to go! I laminated a few pages of my Grandkids artwork. Except for the one time I put the pouch in crooked and tried to straighten it up as it fed into the machine, everything I laminated was smooth and wrinkle free! I have never laminated anything before so I think I did pretty good.I also cut down a smaller picture my Granddaughter had drawn and glued it to a piece of colored paper as a background and laminated it. I had used some fancy scissors to make the picture edges all scalloped and it looked very nice. I hot glued a couple of fake jewels on the corners, and a magnet on the back and now it is a very nice refrigerator magnet with a little memory inside.This is a nice, easy to use, fun little machine that works very well. :)

This is the second time I have purchased this model. My first last seven years with pretty heavy use for a home laminator. It warms up quickly, feeds smoothly, and I never had a paper jam in all my usage. The cogs on the roller are plastic and over time, became worn down so it would no longer feed. For the price I paid, though, it was well worth the purchase price. I expect the same great results with this new unit.

I tried it the first day I got it and it did okay. I like it that I don't have to use a sleeve with it like my old one required. I just slip it in the plastic pouch and slide it in. It didn't take as long to warm up as it said it would. The case does get warm but not hot. It is really small and compact. This small size is much nicer then the desktop Xerox laminator it replaced. I have cleaning sheets to run though it and it would be a good idea for people to get these cleaning sheets to run through it each time they are done using it. It will avoid a lot of problems if you do. Since this laminator doesn't require a protective sleeve (which is real nice) you want to clean those rollers often to keep your laminator pouches from wrapping around the rollers. All laminators that work this way need to be cleaned often. It is a simple matter of running the cleaning sheet through it after you are done and before you turn it off. Simple maintenance.

I was impressed by the reviews on this laminator. I also thought it was a good price for a 12-inch unit. When I received it, I was excited to start using it. I read the instructions, which seemed very straightforward, and used it successfully to laminate a bunch of recipes I'd printed out years ago. Great result -- a homemade cookbook! I used a cleaning sheet after finishing as suggested; wanted to make sure everything was ship-shape for the next use. Today I took it out for the second time to laminate some additional items. The machine jammed on the first pouch I put in. The item was nearly all the way through, so I was forced to pull on the back to try to get it to come through. No luck. I ended up having to yank it, which ruined the item I was laminating. The rollers no longer turn and it's not functioning after only 2 uses! I'm very disappointed in this. I followed all instructions and was gentle with it, leading me to believe it's poor quality. I'm shopping for a different product for the replacement -- I won't be buying another of this one.

Very truly satisfied with this item. Now I can preserve most of my important documents in good condition. It helps a lot too with some craft projects that I am into. And most of all, the kids' projects look better when they are laminated and make them easy to post on the wall or the boards.

Works fine out of th box as my older GBC finally jammed after owning it a number of years. The one thing that bothers me is that did not include a true instruction book From the few drawings in a useless booklet and my prior experience with an older model, I figured it out but never 10% sure during feed of document. I ended up looking up the instruction booklet on line and printing it out. They should DEFINETLY have included the detail instruction booklet and not the tiny few pages booklet with warnings and a few drawings. No excuse for that! It is reason for the 4 starts instead of 5.

This lil laminator is perfect for pictures, recipies, almost anything you would want to laminate. Its small size, makes it perfect for my home office. I am currently on the cusp of writing a cookbook and my needs for this was far exceeded by its performance. Its ready to go almost as soon as I start it up. Excellent lil laminateor for the intent I purchased it. It was pacakaged just perfect too.
