I have been using HiveAlive suplement for a while now and it really seems to be of help to the bees. I normally use their fondant packs for winter, but this stuff is great for warmer weather feeding.

The product is great, use it all the time when feeding sugar water to my bee.Not very pleased with condition of the packaging. Feels like I received a “returned” item. The box top came ripped off letting me think that it could have been tampered with. I don’t know if the bottle top had a safety seal or not.I may returning.

I truly believe in this stuff and have been using it now, pretty much all year in my apiary. I also believe it helps effect the healthy and overall being of my hives. But, it is way too expensive in liquid form. I hope they reduce this price.

New Hive... Used this for feeding in sugar water! Easy to mix and feed with my Apimaye feeder installed. The bees did very well! I actually did not find varroa mites or hive beetles all summer. This is the first winter but gave them Hive Alive Pollen Patties to help with winter feeding. I will start then off in the Spring with Hive Alive Sugar water. Glad I tried Hive Alive.

Currently doing an evaluation of this product to see if nosema s. is reduced during winter, and particularly during spring build up.I can say that the bees definitely take it in when mixed as per the label.I have a control group without Hive-Alive and one group with.Most colonies will handle nosema s. just fine on their own, so I don't see this as a critical treatment.BUT, since they will be dealing with lower levels and there are "suggested benefits" that bees also gain weight and show increased numbers during spring build-up, I see it as something that can't hurt.Reducing nosema levels results in the secondary claims posted by the manufacturer, so it simply makes sense.The scent is somewhat strong and a little like Vick's Vapor Rub in my opinion. There is some Thymol present.I haven't evaluated this HiveAlive long enough for a final outcome, so if there are shortcomings, I will revisit this review in the future.IF it works as described, then I will simply let this review stand as is.For now, I see it as something, based on scientific studies, that can reduce nosema which benefits overall health in winter clusters. Only you can decide if it's worth the purchase price for your application/situation.I recommend it.

I would give the product a higher rating, but every bottle I have ordered is leaking when it arrives. I sent the last one back only to have another leaking bottle sent in its place. Now I am completely out. I may have to try a different size and supplier. It’s really too bad.
