Borderlands is back, bigger and badder than ever
Initial impressions are very good, I went for the 4K graphics option on my PS4 Pro and the game looks great, slightly chunky textures but everything is colourful and detailed. Enemies are glorious and varied so far on Pandora, with TONS of guns, differently coloured as usual with Gold for Legendary. Also tried the HD option at 60 fps by running into a bandit camp and being shot to bits by a dozen baddies, with no lag, very smooth. You can slide as well which is cool for crossing short open areas and climb the environment. Fast travel exists and you can also fast travel back to your vehicle which makes map exploration easier. The main menu has Social which is important as it is where you input the shift codes and read emails.Only level 2 at the moment and I believe the game is capped at lv50. As with Borderlands 2 they will likely up the initial cap as DLC is released, along with more bosses and legendaries. Outside of Pandora there are 4 more worlds to explore with different environments and enemies, and your spaceship. All in all a very satisfying, gloriously bonkers shooter that doesn't take itself too seriously, with more loot drops than you can comprehend, well worth getting if you, like me, enjoyed BL1, 2 and the Pre Sequel.Update - after playing for 10 hours I still enjoy it but the Calypso Twin story is not as good as BL2's Handsome Jack. Very generous game with tons of loot and skins. I would have liked graphics to AC:Odyssey or Witcher 3 standard, at times textures are ugly.Finished update - got to lv50 by doing the side quests and it was a lot of fun. Farming Graveward boss for more legendaries. Bank is now at 300 which is still not enough to hold all the best loot. There are 4 characters each with lots of different builds. These frequently need Anointed gear for the most powerful build. This can take ages to farm and is a real grind. Mayhem mode 4 is otherwise way too tough and knackers your trigger finger quickly (!) Some of the side quests are very good like the one on Nekrotafeyo which takes the mickey out of Pay to Win games.

Overrated and repetitive
Really repetitive and gets boring really quickly. I've never really gave Borderlands a proper try but after hearing all of the hype around this one and the amount of awards the previous titles won, I thought I'd try it out. It starts off pretty decent with funny scenes, loads of shooting and looting which is what Borderlands is all about, but after a few hours you'll have done the same thing about 4 times over - Go to a planet, loot a million boxes to be offered worse weapons than you've already got and tiny amounts of ammo, kill hundreds of enemies then a big boss, go back to your ship and travel to another planet and do the same thing again. If you're into mayhem and chaos and bullets flying everywhere then its probably for you because that part of it is fun, but for me, it slowly died off the more progress I made and the deeper into the story I got. There's quite a few performance issues at the minute too, such as frame rate drops which they'll probably fix with an update or two.

Everything is Perfect
I don't get why people are complaining about this awesome game?I got a brand new copy in the cellophane and the CD was there, mint condition too.In the case, where the manual is, you'll see a flyer inside with the 16 digit code on the back of it.On the flyer it tells you exactly how to input the code to get your bonuses. If you want Season Pass DLC, then you have to purchase it separately from the PS Store.

No disc delivered, just game case...
No disc included in the case; will return it in hopes of re-purchasing the game digitally. For the release date of a major title I expected better than this, a real let down.

What's not to like?
I was looking for a new game, something to get the juices flowing again. I'd never played a borderlands game before because I way put off by the cartoon like graphics. However, having poured hours into Destiny, Assassins Creed and Days Gone they'd lost their sparkle. The reviews for BL3 were mainly favorable so I purchased, installed and played, then played some more and now it's up there amongst my top games ever. Love it. Like Destiny, there's something about levelling up, getting better weapons and abilities that keeps me booting up the Ps4. I love the smooth gameplay, the vehicles, the gift of weapons in your email from Jakobs, the hilarious dialogue. So glad I spent my money on this excellent game.

Great Game but don't expect to get your golden weapon skins or Gold keys, I didn't.
Great game, great delivery but I never got any gold keys or gold weapon skins. Get it from game or somewhere where you'll get everything promised.

More Borderlands!!
Arrived quickly and its brilliant. The golden guns skins code was on a leaflet in my box, and my 5 golden keys code was emailed to me upon dispatch. Both appear in the game's own mail folder in the SOCIAL menu. The game has Visual and Performance modes.Visual looks nicer but caps frames to 30fps,Performance mode drops the res to 1080p and "aims for" 60fps. There are dips when things get crazy.

Great game
Really enjoyed this game, although it can become a little repetitive. Graphics are stunning and the story and gameplay is amazing. The mechanics and ideas in this game are some of the best recently.Great game highly recommended
