I’ve purchased this for my best friend to get in & out of his bathtub safe & easy.The picture is a little off, it looks like the handlebar is small, which it’s not. Just an optical illusion due to taking the picture from above & not at the same height.My friend is ecstatic about this easy to mount, sturdy, movable without damage to tub safety bar. He even sent a picture to his sister, encouraging her to get one too.The grip is sturdy and safely mounted on the tub. It came well made & packaged. An excellent buy at a “steal”.If you’re getting on in age, have a disability or one of your loved ones does, get one for their safety & your peace of mind. They may not need it right now but it will be there as a precaution. It is easy to move to the position needed no matter how often with the strong screw keeping the grab bar on the tub without causing any damage.I highly recommend this product!

Great grab bar to provide safety, support and stability when you get out of the shower. I stalled one in both bathrooms of my home. I moved into this new place. Both bathtubs are very deep and the sides of the tub are high. There are no built in grab bars around inside the shower stall area above the tubs. I am not handicapped and I don't want to be. This is why I installed these grab bars. Even younger, able people can slip and fall in the shower/tub. This is an added layer of safety. I recommend this sturdy quality product. It's well worth the money. And at a minimum, it saves me from bruising my shins when I am getting out of the shower. I highly recommend this product. Very easy to install.

I recently broke my ankle pretty badly and needed surgery. I've got 6 weeks in a cast, another 6 weeks in a boot, a second surgery to remove hardware... I will be using this clamp on handle for a while. I've been using it for 2 weeks already and it is perfect.Very sturdy and heavy enough to feel secure, but easily removable so I don't have to permanently install anything. I'm in my 30s, at this point I do not need a long-term or permanent stability bar. This was easily installed in less than 5 minutes. If I apply a whole lot of force, I can kind of wiggle it lengthwise down the side of the tub. This isn't the usual position I am using it in and I have pretty good balance already, so this isn't a problem for me. 99% of the time I am only applying force downward and this rail has no issues handling that. The only change I would consider is adding some type of non-slip grip to the very top of the rail, as I do have to make sure I have totally dried any water drops off to avoid my hand slipping.Like many tubs, the sides of my tub are not perfectly straight all the way around - the rail needed to be clamped on toward the center of the tub where the sides are straight. This allows me to swing my good foot out of the tub (I'm currently using a shower stool as well), place my "bad" knee on the edge of the tub, and use this rail to help balance and push myself up. I can also use it to brace myself if I need to reposition myself on the shower stool, or when I bend over to grab something in the shower. (In addition, because of the way my bathroom is laid out, I can also use this tub rail to help myself get on/off the toilet!)Honestly I am thrilled since this rail allows me to get in and out of the bathtub without anyone's help while my ankle remains, I believe the technical term is, 100% busted. It's summertime and very hot here, and being able to shower every day without help feels amazing.

Unlike some of the other ones that I looked at this one expands to more than 6” which is really good for older tubs. Once secured, it’s very solid feeling. The one thing I would like to mention is that some bath tubs don’t have straight sides (like mine) so what I did was put a wooden shim to make it even under the clamp on the side because otherwise it wouldn’t work very well.

I bought 2; one for my home, a second for my daughter’s home so it would be there when I visit.

It was easy to install and felt secure once in place.I also liked that it provided extra stability without needing anything permanent. It gave our family member more confidence and support while staying with us, which made a big difference. Overall, a simple but very helpful product to have for guests, recovery situations, or added bathroom safety.

This has been the best thing I've bought in years. It's sturdy and attaches easily to the side of my tub. It's made getting in and out for showering so much easier and safer. I highly recommend it.

I love these attachable hand rail. When I moved into a new home there were no rails around the tub. So, I went on Amazon and found these. I’ve ordered 4 or 5. Ì bought one for a good friend who was falling getting out of her tub. She LOVES IT. NEXT, I ordered one for my sister who was falling getting in and out of their tub. She loved it but at first she didn’t believe it would help. It got to be the only way she could get in Or out of the tub. My cousin likes to soak muscle aches and pains. Ì was worried about he falling. As far as I know she’s still using it. Good friend wanted another one so she could hold on to two as she exited the tub. So, I get her another one. I recently ordered another one for the tub in the master bath at my home. I love these attachable handles and mine has never slipped loose from where it’s attached to the tub. If not for this rail adding stability I wouldn’t be able to lower my body into the tub so that I can just soak to get rid of the aches and pains one accumulates as we get older. If you’re getting older and not as sure footed as you once were these rails can make a big difference! But, you should know some of the older cast iron tubs are wider and the rail doesn’t fit very well.

I am SO IMPRESSED!! This safety rail we ordered for my mom who got out of hospital and came to live with us. She needed it for steadiness to get in and out of the shower/tub. It’s sturdy. It’s strong. It attached perfectly and it could be for several widths for most tub edges. She even used it to steady herself on the toilet because it was attached to the tub beside the toilet. This was an invaluable item! A cinch to install. Easy to take off to give her to take home with her, or for another family member to use the washroom who didn’t require it on. I was so impressed! This is an amazing safety product that it the right height for safely getting in and out of the tub edge. Our tub edge is high too (deep tub) and she was able to get in and out unassisted.

I like it because I need itI dislike it because it's rusty !!It seems that someone returns it after trial and it was wet !! and was kept in package without drying it !! I'll not return it because I need it

So far it seems to be doing the job just fine. You need to pay attention when you're installing it, as it needs to be installed on a straight/flat side of the tub, and make sure that all of the padded surfaces make proper contact and that nothing is off on a weird angle; maximize the surface area that is in contact with your tub so that there's no chance of it slipping/moving when weight is applied to it. If you're hoping to put it on an end of the tub that curves/bends, it may not work for you. Tighten it up good and give it a pull in any direction to ensure that it's trustworthy, but make sure you check it regularly in case it somehow shifts or gets loose. If you accidentally bang your knee on it when getting into/out of the tub, it hurts a lot, so be mindful of where you've mounted it. Anyway, it does the job and I trust it.
