Top notch knife for the price.
The question of them being made in China was a concern for me at first, but then again, you have to remember that it’s the manufacturer (which is based in the United States) that set the standards of any product, and the case is no different here. It’s of the same quality and craftsmanship that one would come to expect from a quality brand such as Old Timer.I’m extremely pleased with my purchase, it’s top notch quality, and very well made with a blade that sharpens easily, but retains the edge since it’s made of high carbon stainless steel. In fact, this Old Timer knife replaces a Case knife that I threw in the garbage bin due to its quality and craftsmanship which was dismal at best as the blade wouldn’t stay locked in place.I’m extremely happy with the Old Timer, and I think that you will be as well.

Good little knife
Great weight and size. No assisted flip or pocket clip or other unnecessary functions. Opening and closing this knife can be difficult but once locked open; feels sturdy enough in hand. Blade is sharp right out of the box but the steel is brittle; don’t use this as a pry bar. Blade is inscribed “Old Timer” not “Schrade” and the inlaid handle logo was not rounded/oval.

Good dependable knife
I have been using this model for some thirty years. I have worn out maybe three of them. This one looks like it is going to be another great knife! i like the lock blade feature and I like that it has only one blade. This helps make it lighter and it doesn't wear out my pocket like a heavier knife would.

Not a collectable, but good for utility use.
Old Timer is a classic brand from the good old days, but the good old days are gone. It's made in China and you get what you pay for. The bad: the fit and finish is not great. There were scuff marks that weren't polished out, The bone handle is not rounded enough on the edges to be comfortable. The folding action is a little rough. The good: It's really cheap but reasonably solid. It's very simple and not much to go wrong. The lock-out feature works. It's good for utility use and rough work. I don't care if I break it or loose it or get it confiscated after forgetting that it's in my pocket when I have to go through a security gate at a public event (which has happened with a better knife that I really didn't want to give up).

Good for what it is
Arrived with a good grind and a good enough edge. Very little wobble and locks up tight. Will need to sharpen to my liking, but that's just me. This knife is not heirloom quality or gift-giving material or anything like that, but if you need a nice little extra knife for the campsite, tool or tackle box or even skinning a pelt, this will work. Very light and maneuverable. It is not 430HC steel, but then again this little dude does come with the price those blades have, either. I also own Benchmark, Buck, and Gerber knives, and would have no issues taking this little guy into the woods for lightweight handy work.
