Review: Truly entertaining from start to finish - The Wings of Fire series is truly entertaining from start to finish. The characters are memorable and full of personality, the humor is clever and refreshing, and the stories are told in a way that keeps you hooked all the way through. It’s a wonderful mix of adventure, heart, and imagination—I couldn’t stop reading. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys a well-crafted fantasy series! Review: OMG I LOVE THIS BOOK!!!!!! - I adored Cricket's million question thoughts! She's such a positive person, and I think she brings out the best in all the other dragons (even though she annoys them from time to time). And don't even get me started on Bumblebee! TheHive Queen was an amazing read and it had me hooked at the end of each chapter. I'm so glad author Tui T. Sutherland wrote the story of such awesome dragons!

I NEED BOOK 13.
But as for an actual review: Reading from Cricket's perspective was amazing and, at times, so sad. This series continues to blow me away with the relevance to kids, teens, and even adults' lives. Cricket informs us right off the bat that her parents can't stand her and that her mother left the family to go "pursue her dreams." So many people I know have dealt with similar issues, and it's sad and hard to see. Cricket is still dealing with this, even though she's never liked her mother. Cricket's character grows and learns throughout the book, though her questions never cease. I enjoyed seeing her bubbly attitude and realistic look at life take the radicals aback in how she simply laid out what would happen if the LeafWings went straight into war and attacked the HiveWings and burned the hives. Death, and most of it innocent people. The first series arc started in the middle of a war with the Dragonets of Destiny dealing with the repercussions of a pointless war. This series is now taking the side of "what do you do after a genocide;" is it OK for retaliation or do things need to be left? What should be done. The characters, Cricket especially, struggle with these questions because wrongs have been done, yet another genocide is not the answer. Cricket starts to see her HiveWing world for the horrific slave-trade/indentured servant world that it is, at it's a culture shock for her to see how badly her world suffers from racism. All-in-all, I loved watching Cricket understand the repercussions of genocide and racism and watching her come to understand that the HiveWings are a racist society towards everyone else.

childhood nostalgia
i’m 20 now but these books were my childhood, i trickled off from reading them when i got into high school and after the first lost continent book came out. i rediscovered my old collection unpacking some box and fell back in love with the series, i bought every book that i didn’t already own in fact. i could read these again and again and probably will. since this was a first read for me it was simultaneously nostalgic and exciting. i actually remember hating cricket when i first read the lost continent(found out while reading it after recently purchasing it that i didn’t read the entire book previously. totally worth holding off on my judgements this time around.

Loved it!
first i would like to mention that we dont meet Sundews one true love until book 13 people have been bringing this books rating down just for somthing that happens later in the series which is not cool. and for the people out there who dont like Sundews partner and their LGBTQ+ relationship imagine if that was you hating you and discrimanating you for who you love! im a kid and i wasnt bothered at all by her relatilnship but if parents dont yet want that conversation with their kids which is perfrctly fine i suggest reading the book first. anyways i dint come here to talk only about book 13 i really enjoyed the hive queen it was fast paced but still showed the characters in a meaningful way. Spoiler alert!!!!!! i did not see that twist coming with Kaytidid! and i totally ship Blicket they are so cute! oh and bumble bee she is absolutley adorble!!! all in all i loved this book it reflect our society in a way that you can relate to dragons but also be capivted by twists and reveals that wont llow ypu to set this book down! sorry for the bd spelling its hard to type on a kindle with the slight lag and sorry for y review being so all over the place folks have great day!

Excellent!
Love and hate how fast-paced the book was. It was amazing reading it, but I hate the fact that books end and before reading one I constantly get my hopes super high, have them exceeded for a few hours, then am sad for a year or so until the next book comes out. I will now wait patiently COME ON POISON JUNGLE I MUST READ YOU!!!!!! (I think Sutherland's fun writing style is affecting me 😂) Wow. Forgive my ranting. Anyway, I though I would miss Qibli and Winter and Kinkajou and Moon and Turtle but now I will miss Blue and Cricket and Swordtail and Sundew and even Bumblebee whenever this story arc ends too soon. I can't stress how good this series has been. Only Ranger's Apprentice, Eragon, and Percy Jackson were as fun to read and as stinking ADDICTIVE. READ. THIS. BOOK.

THIS BOOK. GUYS ITS THIS ONE. This series is so awesomeee. My fav book in this series was the moonwatcher one. UNTIL I READ THISSSS. Queen Wasp as an antagonist>>>>darkstalker/vulture/anybody else smh. Listen, she may not be a good character, but she and her powers are so well written /srs. Like omg the hivewing mind control thingy is soo creepy and interesting! I've never seen that kinda think ever in a book and that feeling of being finally surprised and creeped out by smth in a fantasy book is SO on top. Also I rlly like Sundew! Blue reminds me of Moonwatcher, so a nah for him from me duhh. Cricket [ this book is her pov btw ] is a great character and she's kinda relatable lmao. {esp her love for books its SO me coded}. I also rlly liked Bumblebee. Like literally, she's so unhateable. She reminds me of Kinkajou[ i love her sm ]. Anyway that wraps up my experience for the book, if you want it then go for it! Be careful to read the previous parts first tho lmao. Greatt book deserves 10 stars rlly.
