Aiphone JF-2MED Master Station for JF Series Audio/Video Intercom System, For Up to Two Door and Two Sub-Master Stations

This met our expectations and is working well for us.

We recently replaced an old Aiphone intercom system with this newer system. It has worked well since installed. The pictures are clear and the sound is good on the intercom. It did take 6 hours for my electrician to install....

Very clear sound and picture, but the user interface is absolutely terrible (at least toward unlocking the door). The buttons are mapped to a little on-screen menu that, in use, feels really slow to load. And then you have to give the button a very deliberate push, with a little pause, for it to actually unlock, so there's often a lot of fumbling/repeat attempts needed while your visitor waits (or repeatedly tries to open the still locked door).

The sub masters + the primary master would equal a total of three masters inside the house. Best to use 18 AWG 2 Conductor non shield wire, or consider buying a box of the specified wire, which is sold as wire type 871802 and 871804. Buying the wire does extend the warranty an extra year. The master station is ideal for anyone who might be disabled or in a wheel chair, as a dry contact button wired to the back of the master can easily answer the call hands free, or in more extreme cases, someone disabled from the neck down, could breathe into a tube that provides a dry contact needed to answer the call from the door.
