Not that good.
Compared to the Gerber infant preforms, these wear out a lot faster. Barely got the grand kid out of them. They were fraying.

Go For It!!!
My all time fav cloth diaper! I've officially had four babies in cloth. I admit I was at times a little cloth diaper obsessed! It happens to the best of us! Lol. I've tried every "style" of cloth diaper on the market( style not brand that is impossible!) I'm not exactly sure why but prefolds never had any appeal to me. Well, I didn't know what I was missing! I'm a prefold convert now and will never go back to any other style diaper. I have oso cozys size premium that I've been using on my last baby since he was about 6 months old. He's still wearing them now at 17mths and will continue in them until potty time. I also bought a dozen of the brown edge "green mountain prefolds". They are almost identical in size and function and look exactly the same to me. The brown edge "greenmountain prefolds" are maybe 2 inches wider and 1 1/2 inch shorter. I honestly have no preference when I grab a dipe. The extra width may be helpful if you have a chubbier baby but mine babies have always been average weight & height. Not skinny not chubby. I use them with a set of boingo diaper fasteners. They are the best way to go in my opinion. I've had one set if boingos since birth and they are still going strong. I just ordered a new set for our new baby that should be born anyday now. I also ordered the size 1 oso cozy prefolds to start her in. As far as covers go, thirsties are awesome but I love wool the best. If you have a Daddy that changes diapers for you this system may be more challenging for him. Maybe just let Daddy trifold the prefold laying it flat in the diaper cover. I'd go with a nice Daddy friendly cover with snaps or Velcro closure like a Thirsties cover. Or what I'm doing this time around is keeping a stash of throw away dipes available for Daddy diaper changes or when the grandparents visit and want to change a diaper. I've given up on being a " cloth diapering purist" at this point in the game. I do use throw aways for night and going out. So all in all, if your considering prefolds, I say Go for it! You won't be sorry!CheapKeeps in all poo ( when folded around baby and using a diaper fastener). No poo will even get on your covers with this method.Super simple to launderThey are more absorbant than anything else I've tried! When used with wool cover, very natural breathable optionWhen used with Thirsties cover, convenient & easy

For really tiny babies
Let me start by saying I knew exactly what I was buying. As far as newbie diapers go, they fit and work perfectly on the ones that swim in NB size clothes. These are ONLY good size for teeny tiny infants. If you would rather not buy a new size diaper within a month though, get the slightly larger, and more absorbent. After they pass the newborn stage these will no longer work well by themselves. You can use as an added insert for bigger babies when that happens. If you are buying these for a reason that is NOT diapering a baby, I would use these as small kitchen cloths. About the size of one of those half sheets of paper towels once all prepped/shrunk up. Could soak up a small (toddler size) water spill.

I love these!
I'd like them just a bit wider for my 7 month old but they fit if you pull the side tightly. I got the regular size (15-30 lbs) and can't imagine buying the larger size, I'm sure they'd be like ten feet long. hahaThese are *super* long. They're long on my three year old! My three year old is potty trained but I tried them on her just because they looked so huge! They don't fit around her waist at all but lengthwise I could still fold over some of the diaper! They're *super* absorbent!! I washed them four times before use (only one of those loads had detergent) and started using them and they've contained my son's heaviest pees and biggest blowouts. They're amazing!!I imagine if his waist grows bigger at all the snappis aren't going to work much longer. I've tried a few times just putting them on like I normally would and then not using a snappi and they've worked just fine. You don't really need a snappi I guess, I just like them and how secure everything feels. Even with the diaper unsecured I had no leaks.I could go on and on but I'll just say these are by far my favorite prefolds for the price. They're exactly what I need and I'll buy more when I need to!Update: I still love to use these but after getting some other prefolds from a very well known cloth diapering site I barely use them anymore. They're too difficult to secure around my son's waist. I DO use them still without snappis or pins and just leave them folded in a cover and they work perfectly fine. They're just the last I grab from the prefolds drawer. They're very affordable and the absorbency is still fantastic! Better than ever, even. I am just a mom who prefers to secure prefolds completely and not leave them just folded in a cover. I think it holds in baby blowouts better so you don't need to wash a cover each time baby goes. But for the price and what these are I still give them 5 stars and like them. Just thought I'd add an update about the waist fit... they just need to make these an inch or two wider for baby waists!

Not great for cloth diapers
These things are too long to use with pocket diapers & not big enough to use as a prefold (wrapping around the baby like a diaper). My son is around 23 pounds. I got the “regular 4x6x4 up to 30 lbs” size. The material has developed pilling & is pretty worn out already. I’ve washed them less than 10x. They’re for diapers so I guess it’s not a big deal but overall I wish I had spent my money just on pocket diaper pads. They’ll make for good rags later on so that’s a plus.
