.com This is the first game to feature the 2002 Formula One World Championship and your first chance to compete for the 2002 Formula One crown. F1 2002 includes the new racing teams--Toyota F1 and Renault F1. You can compete for, unlock, and collect Formula One team-specific cards to win unique rewards and access new game modes. Building on the challenge mode from F1 2001, the game now lets you set multicar challenges in which you compete against the star drivers from the Formula One grid, or enter into a team dual and test your driver skills against an opponent in an equally competitive machine. Use the all-new Slingshot Bar to slipstream opponents and pull off high-intensity passing maneuvers. Enjoy watching "hero shots" and other race-breaking moments from multiple camera angles.

Welcome to the best F1 game to date!
Being a huge F1 fan, this game met my lofty expectations. This has the current season, more additions to it, and very good realism and graphics. A big question of yours is probably how does it differ from F1 2001, and is it worth it to buy it when I own last year's? Well, let me list the additions.First of all, this game is definetly not WORSE than last years, it only gets better. In F1 2001, you would see people like Nick Heidfeld or Eddie Irvine beating Michael Schumacher or David Coulthard. Not very realistic. They improved this greatly, and now you see the first three rows made up of Williams, Ferrari, and McClaren. There's a new feature which enables you to use the slipstream and get by the driver in front of you, which is both very useful, and very cool to do! Once you have the draft you hear this whooshing sound and your vision becomes slightly blurred and bouncy as you speed past Montoya on the curved banking of Indianapolis! There are these EA Sports cards which have different challenges you must do in order to recieve them. For each team, there are 6 categories of cards : Milestone, Racing, Endurance, Basic Challenge, Advanced Challenge, and..i forgot.hehe. But as the team gets better, there get harder to get. For example, the Toyota team rewards you a card for Endurance for completing an 8 lap race. Ferrari makes you run a full season under full laps in order to get their's. Graphics have improved as well in this game compared to last year's.So interperet this information as you see it worthy of buying this game, but for me, a 2001 owner, the additions were worth the spending of 50 dollars again.Hope this was of help, and GO RALF SCHUMACHER!!

Challenge yourself and make it as real as you can!
This game is one of the best I've seen ever. The realism that the EA team put into this game is amazing. The track details, each car is designed according to its real performance (even if Toyota is doing better than expected), the sounds, the graphics and so many other things are the ultimate state of art in gaming. But most of all I believe that this game offers great experience for all, beginners and pros. Drive in Arcade mode (Normal mode) and learn all the tracks winning with a bit of effort but enough to get glued to F1. If you are a more experienced guy drive in simulation mode and make it as tough as you want. This game is to get into it and challenge yourself every time you play. You won't master it in a weekend time and personally speaking it makes it more interesting. I don't agree with the guy ( Irespect his opinion tough) that gave this game one star, I'm sure he was playing the easiest level. So if you're a tough guy (girl) buy this game and learn to race like the best. The EA Cards you win are greatly designed to keep you playing no matter if you are in a low, mid or high level of racing. One final advice, play it using the Logitech Force Feedback wheel, it really close the gap to the real experience. I've been to the Interlagos track and it's wonderful how close to the reality the EA guys made it in this game. I'd give this game a six (6) star qualification but there are just five so!

Not bad, but still can be improved~
As many reviewers have said, this game does have a pretty good graphic and a good update information of teams and tracks. Every team's car has different top speed and performance based on what they have done in the past season. So, unlike F1 2001, now it's really difficult to use a Minardi to win a pole position. However, it still has many things can be improved. The FIA rules are not clear, especally under the yellow flag, it's very easy to get a stop and go penalty (most of time you will get a dangerious driving warning). The fuel strategy is almost useless, cause it doesn't matter if you have a full tank or not, your car will still run in the same speed. The car in simulation type is too hard to handle. And the worst of all is that if you are not starting the race in the first row, you are going to get a serious trouble. Cars from behind will hit you all the time and it is not easy for you to avoid hitting the car in front of you also.I would say if you are a very crazy F1 fan, go get this game! (or try to get the PC version~ it's better.) Otherwise, you should wait for the F1-2003~~~

Stiff battle with Formula One 2002
This game is definitely one of the best F1 games available for the Ps2.Ps2 is the only system that has more than three developers for F1. One of them is the company that owns the system with Emotion Engine. Their game is Formula One 2002. Although this game has major flaws in graphics and car shapes, it definitly gives some serious competition to this almost a master piece from EA Sports.First to go, both have great car control, i mean very difficult to handle, but EA has some flaw in this, but gives enouGh authenticity in fighting with AI. AI is something to be sorted out, i need not say about this, as some of my friends have already done that.Secondly, the car always sticks on to the track, which is almost realistic, something we used to see in GT3, which shows what a car does on track. Other F1 games like Grand Prix Challenge make the car to slide too unrealistically on the track which is so annoying. The feature of the replay is the best among others, though Formula One 2002 comes close, and Grand Prix Challenge [stinks] in this department. Finally, the 2002 update isn`t as authentic as FO 2002, but you`ll be definitly taken aback by the astonishing Visuals.I highly recommend this game along with Formula One 2002 to PURE F1 fans.

Awesome F1 Game
This is a totally awesome game. I don't even know where to start. First of all, the graphics are really great. The scenery is awesome, just like everything else on the screen in front of you. Also, there is a Normal Mode for gamers that don't really know all the specifics of an F1 car (i.e. tire psi, brake adjustments, etc.). Then, there is Simulation mode that gives you a real overall grasp of true F1.I have been an F1 fan for years, and I have to say, this game fulfills any desire I have for F1 at any given time.
