Great Guide for Successful Blogging Mindsets and Strategies
This book is incredibly motivating. As a blogger who hasn't monetized my blogs after many years, I feel encouraged by the strategies outlined in this book. Despite the repetitive Q&A format, each chapter offers valuable insights and practical advice for bloggers. While I found the book useful, I wish the style had been more varied to avoid the feeling of repetition. Nonetheless, the information was well-organized, prompting me to order a paperback copy. I wanted to get the ebook because it’s easier to search, but was surprised that I couldn’t find an ebook version.I noticed that some books recommended by the bloggers were repeated, leading me to wonder if the bloggers were part of a mastermind group, exchanging book recommendations with one another. However, despite this observation, the book provides valuable insights into the mindset and strategies essential for achieving blogging success, extending beyond the mere act of writing.Overall, I highly recommend this book for bloggers looking to monetize their blogs. I hope to meet Sally Miller and some of the other bloggers in this book. In the meantime, I plan to use this book as a reference for both my blog and fellow bloggers in my writing community.

Easy-to-read, Enjoyable Peek into Successful Blogging Businesses
So often I have trouble finding the time to read more than an article at a time. What is so terrific about this book? I was hooked right away!Sally's writing style is so personable and straight-forward, that I felt like we were just chatting. I didn't even realize how long I had been sitting in one spot reading! If you're looking for a quick-moving read and are interested in building a successful blog, this one is a great choice.Speaking to the information inside the book, I really did learn a lot about blogging as a business. The book is organized into the three main categories of what you need to do to be a successful blogger. After the main categories are laid out, Sally shares interviews with bloggers in the 6-figure income category. It's within the framework of those main categories where each indidual blogger's path or business model differs.Reading the stories and tips from successful people is a great way to learn about success. And these people don't try to hide what helped them become successful. This book is terrific way to get a look into some successful businesses and blogs. Many of the people interviewed were already people that I read on a regular basis, so it was fun to read their stories from the interview perspective.I really did enjoy this new book! Although I'm not brand new to blogging, I have recently started (another) new blog, so I followed the exercises along with the book. I did add some clarity to my own vision as I worked through them.Every little bit of clarity along the way is meaningful...so I am grateful for that as well!

THOROUGH BLOGGING ORIENTATION UNDER ONE ROOF
This is a very detailed and informative book, featuring almost labyrinthine information about succeeding in blogging. There is just about everything you want to know, and some things you don't.Author Sally Miller, to put everybody on track at the outset, states that 85% of bloggers with pro aspirations are doomed to penurious obscurity from the first time they touch their keyboards, irrevocably consigned, regardless of their efforts or perseverance, to floating anonymously, microscopically, and finally, non-existent in the grand ether. This 15 out of 100 blog-starters succeeding is a challenge I imposed on myself a while back. As much as I'm still learning, I would truly hate to be breaking the shell again, the eggtooth stage.Seventeen six-figure bloggers were interviewed, and, although they took different paths, 3 main traits of their overall success emerged after Miller collated all 17.1. Act With A Purpose2. Create Systems For Success3. Believe In Yourself And Take Responsibility For Your SuccessFrom these numerous case studies, Miller has supplied several ways a person (the ones who survive the 85% shakeout) can monetize blogs---Affiliate Marketing, product creation, Virtual Assistant services, web design, etc. and this preliminary information can lead larval blog proprietors to further research the specialties of their choice.A very comprehensive guide. 4 out 5 stars.

A very complete look at blogging and success
The Essential Habits of 6-Figure Bloggers by Sally Miller was both a pleasure to read and an educational opportunity. Sally delivers information in an easy-to-read style backed by real-life examples from successful bloggers. The tone of the book is almost like personal coaching combined with hands-on actionable guidance. I took 9 pages of notes and wrote down 14 book recommendations to add to my TBR list, and two podcasts that I have already subscribed to.One of my favorite parts of this book is getting a deep-dive look into the experiences and thinking of successful bloggers. I am familiar with some of the blogs and bloggers in this book, but now I have many more to check out and subscribe to for their newsletters. One of my favorite take-aways was that "there is no college of blogging". That is the truth! But, this book comes close to being that college for me.I've read several books about blogging and it was refreshing to read this one because Sally Miller does not include a long beginning section about choosing a hosting site, finding a blog theme, etc. This book went right to the heart of what I have been looking for.I highly recommend this book for anyone interested in blogging.

Valuable book wherever you are in your blogging journey
I've read a lot of how-to books over the past few years that I’ve been blogging, and this is perhaps the first book I’ve come across that analysed what successful bloggers actually do (at a high level at least). Even if you’ve been blogging for years, there are some useful nuggets of wisdom. Indeed, I’m considering whether to start a secondary blog as a result, putting all the advice I’ve learned into practice!A few things to keep in mind: this is not a book to sit down and read in one sitting. Take your time to actually think about and answer the questions it poses. This will help make sure you’re building from a strong foundation from the very start. Likewise, do not expect a get-rich-quick scheme: it’s very clear that it takes time to build up to the level these bloggers are working at.There are a few things that I would have liked to have seen in more detail. Specifically 1) how these bloggers are actually making their money; is it through affiliate links, courses, ads, etc.? It didn’t seem that many were actually making money through writing. And 2) how were they able to grow their business if they were not doing it full-time? While some specifically mentioned dealing with small children while blogging, it’s not clear to me how there are enough hours in a week/mental energy to go around to juggle a full-time day job, blogging, and any other business activities with actually living life. Getting to the point where you can afford to hire someone to help, which is discussed in the book, is glossed over. Is it a matter of relying on savings or a partner’s income, or moving back in with parents and living on ramen noodles? I would find an honest discussion of this part of the journey to be useful.Despite these quibbles, I also want to add that this is a good book even if you have no desire to monetise your blog or make it your primary income stream. After all, having the opportunity to hear from 17 people who have made a success of an activity is not to be turned down! It will help you to clarify your vision, avoid making some of the same mistakes, and inspire you to take action.

Great for new bloggers!
If you're new to blogging or thinking about starting a blog or online business I highly recommend this book! I found it entertaining, inspirational and educational ... a great combination! It was fascinating to read about the different path-ways each blogger featured had to success and a great insight to discover that although they were all so different there were certain habits they all shared!
