Good little finger stabilizers
These work very well to keep my trigger finger straight and thus from locking up. You can get them wet, wear them day and/or night, and they are not very noticeable. They are lightweight and comfortable. I got a set of three sequential sizes so I could determine the best size and fit. I then ordered additional of the best size so I had extras.

Supports my little finger
My doctor recommended this and I lost it. So I asked what size it was so I can reorder more instead of s doctor visit to get replacements. Same products and I always carry s spare. After a while you do not notice it. My DIL needed one for her finger but we used it in the reverse positions and it’s wonderful. My hands are small so the 8 oval is mine.

A Great Help for Trigger Thumb
I didn’t need a brace that covered my thumb down to my wrist and discovered these devices to brace my thumb from snapping when bending.Make sure you purchase the right size for your finger! I purchased Size 8 first, but when my thumb swelled while wearing it, I also purchased size 9. With the weather fluctuating from hot and humid to cool and dry in air conditioning, the two sizes became essential.Yes, they stabilized the finger and were light weight and hard plastic. You have to figure out how to use your thumb so the smooth plastic doesn’t get in the way.Not expensive as other products, but other cloth/brace short splints offer more support. Still, I switch off when using, depending on what I’m doing. And, I switch sizes. You don’t need the full thumb brace unless you have been given a medical recommendation, but this works great for trigger thumb.

Perfect fit.
My thumb is finally getting better wearing this brace for most of the day as it allows me to do most tasks, despite my thumb not being able to bend.

Get the right size and don't make a fist
These have really been helpful for my two trigger fingers. The sizes are pretty close to ring sizes, so if you have a ring of known size that just clears the knuckle, you can use that for starters. If you are one of the people whose fingers expand and contract due to fluid retention, amount of physical activity, or influence of mysterious ethers, you may need more than one size. I have four, from 10 to 13. Note that you can put them on in either direction, forward and backward, and get a half-size difference that way. These are not intended as finger supports for manual labor. I can't imagine someone breaking one, because if you try to make a fist it will definitely fight back. This can actually damage the knuckle, especially if you put the top band right on top of the knuckle, which I discourage (don't know what the manufacturer says). It works best with the top band behind the trigger knuckle, but can also be slipped in front, and it will help stabilize the joint.I use these when typing and using a pen. Typing is unaffected, but when writing I sometimes have to slip it off. Because this is easy, it's really not a problem. Your particular pen grip will probably make a difference.

A cheap knock-off, not the real Oval 8!
They came in a clear bag with no label of any kind. No instructions or information not brand name. The plastic is harder (more brittle, less flex), with edges and outside surface that are not as smooth. If you have not experienced the original (copyrighted, BTW) Oval 8 splints, you might not notice—the differences are subtle. And they will probably work just as well. But the Oval 8 company should be on the phone to their attorney.

Allows My Skin To Breathe
I purchased another brace before this one that is a wrap-type. I no longer wear that because even though it did the job of immobilizing my thumb, it did not allow my skin to breathe. Since the injury is on my dominant hand, I still use it a lot. I had to wash the other brace every 2-3 days of use. The open design of this brace allows my skin to breathe and it immobilizes the thumb. Having multiple braces included in the packaging ensures I have a brace available when I am cleaning a used one. The measuring guide helped me determine a perfect fit for my thumb. Pleased with this product.

Order The Original!
I ordered “no name” thumb splints due to the price, you cannot replace expertise! The no names were close but were not comfortable, this true original is so much more comfortable and does not hurt the base of my thumb, so worth getting it right!
