Perfect size blocks for a 4 year old.
Great size for 4 year olds. Loved the car blocks. The 2 year old got to the stickers before we could put themIn the right place so you need supervision with the stickers!

Instructions can be a bit confusing
I bought this as a toy to use in play therapy with children with disabilities, but we had to go back and make our own step-by-step directions for the children to use. The directions are fine for adults and maybe older children (though I don't know that older children are super interested in the big kind of blocks) but I think little kids would struggle without adult assistance. The blocks are not pre-printed so you need to put the stickers on them for eyes, teeth, etc yourself. Some of the stickers are made to be placed on multiple blocks at once, so I cut them apart so the animals could still be taken apart after being built. Once they're built though the kids love them! They get to build them and then use them like action figures after.
