Anchor Hocking Manchester Drinking Glasses Set, 16 oz Tumbler Glasses, Set of 4

I had originally gotten a cheap set of drinking glasses from Wayfair that kept breaking, so when I finally decided to replace what remained of that set, I knew I wanted something sturdy and stylish. I love 1960's - 1970's vintage looking stuff, and these fit the build. Knowing nothing about glassware except that you can drink of it, I found these on Amazon and figured I'd take a chance on them after reading some of the reviews and looking at some of the pictures featured in them. I was not disappointed. What arrived were some stylish glasses that were thick glass and durable. I immediately ran them through the dishwasher (because of manufacturing and shipping germs) and was so pleased that I ordered more that same night. I've had these about 6 months now, and I love them so much. The glass is very thick, so I know I'll have them a long time. They're a bit heavier because of that, but I don't care. I'd rather they be heavier if I know they're going to last. And as far as some of the reviews on here that said they melted, I didn't have that problem. I don't know what kind of lava setting their dishwasher is set to, but I run a Bosch from 1999 that has a stainless steel interior (very good at holding in heat, especially on the heat drying setting). And I've had zero issues in the over-twenty times I've run these glasses through it. They only come out clean and ready for the next use. These are what you want to buy; they're worth every single penny you pay.

We’ve had these glasses for I’m not even sure how many years - 15 or 18 years maybe? We have the set with the tall and short glasses. After that many years in service a few of the tall ones had broken. So I purchased these to fill in the ones we had broken over the years. They have always gone in the dishwasher and still sparkle like they’re brand new. If you can believe it, I have actually received several compliments from people liking these glasses when they have been to our house. They changed the name of the style from when we originally purchased but these new ones I bought are exactly the same as the ones we already had. They’re solid, sturdy and will last a long time. Highly recommend.

I love these types of glasses! They have good weight and feel thick and durable.

You get what you pay for, and these are definitely worth every penny. Will be buying more.

I’m writing this review because I want you to know that these are heavy glasses prior to your purchase. This can be a good thing - they seem well made and substantial and feel expensive but I am not used to glasses feeling quite this weighty and to be honest they’re not my very favorite for this reason. Just a matter of preference, I suppose. The windowpane design of them is beautiful, however, and they look very nice displayed in a glass front cupboard.

This was what we were looking for… Thick, quality glass that makes great iced tea, iced coffee, soda etc. taste so much better. Rock solid, base-heavy to avoid tipping, clear enough to see and enjoy what you're drinking.

These are my favorite glasses. They don't tip over easily and look good.Unfortunately im clumsy so I need to buy them every few years.Nothing against the glasses, just a me problem.The glasses are surpassingly strong and have survived more than id expect.I will keep buying them for as long as I can.

These are my family's favorite every day glasses we've ever used. They are heavy, but so beautiful and strong, and the cut design on the sides help you to keep a great grip on your glass as you're carrying it from the kitchen into your dining room or living room. Highly recommend! So pretty and great quality to give as any gift, too! They come out perfectly from the top rack in our dishwasher every time--no scratch or chafing on the glass or bottom anywhere. If you have no problem picking up a heavier glass, you will not be disappointed.

The glasses are beautiful and elegant with the deep etched pattern. We also like the sturdiness of the heavy weight.

I really like these glasses I already have these at home needed a few extras as a couple of mine broke. I was a little hesitant to buy these as others on the reviews had some problems with them. When mine arrived they were in perfect condition. These are a very nice glass if you are looking for a heavier type of glass.

Love these glasses. First order was for me and the second one for my daughter-in-law, who just loved them. Next order is the matching tumblers. Very Sturdy, nice weight and good size.

Nice feel and weight. Very sturdy. Also very flat. Glass is crystal clear. I’m not sure why others have complained - may be a quality control issue at the plant. Supposedly made in the USA.
