Clea & Joanna are “MY PEOPLE!”
At the age of 50, I have discovered my people!I have always been made fun of by my mother, my daughter, ex-husband, friends and roommates over my need to have things contained by type and the labeling of each. (Don’t mess with mamas paint pens or label maker). My world has always been a bit of a mess with the exception of items like the perfect sized container labeled “nail polish” that sits under my sink or the container in the bottom drawer of my desk labeled “stationary.” Of course nobody thanks me when they know exactly where to find a stamp or battery when they need it but anyway...In July of this year, the owner of the beautiful townhouse I had rented for 4 years informed me that he had made the decision to sell so I needed to move out! I had lost the majority of my income during the pandemic and now I was losing my home. I decided to make the best of it by moving into a small one bedroom apartment for a year, save money and buy my own condo that nobody can ever kick me out of! The thought of downsizing had me terrorized... I love “my stuff.”I downloaded Marie Kondo on Audible- It was life changing for someone like me... It made getting rid of, donating, selling, ect everything I did not need or love EASY!But then WHAT!?!I was left with all the things that made me HAPPY!My stuff truly makes me HAPPY!Pictures of my beautiful daughter, my 10 photo albums of the first 5 years of her life, the various outfits for my 2 chihuahuas, my craft closet and my 1,000+ pens... My beloved “stuff”!After discovering The Home Edit, I have watched their Netflix series and purchased their newest book first. I then came back and purchased this one! This book is more of a “how to” than the other. This is EXACTLY what I needed!!!While I am living in this awful apartment, these books have been my inspiration! My GOALS!My porn! These books have made me happy!!! Planing what my future home will look like makes me happy and motivated to work hard!!I have organized all of my paperwork, books, ect..I can’t wait to hit the container store-Love love love! Both of these books are on loan to my mom- We lost my dad this month and I knew these books would help give my her some Ideas. Going through my dads things/ donating and giving away is something I don’t know how we are going to deal with. How do you remove the things that belonged to the love of her life, her husband of 53 years. I am going to be by her side every step of the way but I don’t know how I’ll manage... My dad was my hero! It may sound strange, but I know these books will give us both some joy to look forward to... My mom deserves to have a pretty organized home.Thank you Home Edit for giving both my mom and I something to look forward to during 2 different but difficult times we are both facing in our lives!God bless

Best organization book
I have read several books on organizing and this is by far the simplest one to use. But don’t let simple fool you- it’s also practical with Pinterest looking results (for people that would never normally achieve it).
