Good Disney Alternative
Great book for teens who are Disney fans, but also a good read for fans of any age. Glad I started the series.

Fantastic
As amazing as the rest of the series. I was on the edge of my seat. The fact that the author can so accurately describe how the characters are feeling and the emotional toll it is taking on them trying to handle responsibility that most never deal with, hormones, new love, and the fear of losing what they think makes them special is incredible.

Teenage angst
I did not like this novel as much as the others in the series. The unique (and a bit frustrating) ending makes me want to read the next in the series. Unfortunately, I don't think it will be out for a while. The kingdom keepers in this one are a bit at odds with each other. Finn, in particular, is dealing with a lot of conflicting emotions that sometimes get in the way of the story. The other thing I found was that the story flow was disjointed. There were times when I believe the author got confused as to which character was actually speaking. I can't think of a specific passage, but remember rereading sections because I wasn't sure who the speaker was. I didn't like the was the character of Finn's mother was used. I believe she could have been a more interesting an integral part of the story. It seemed that it was going to be that way in the beginning, but changed.

Love These Books
As I have stated in previous Kingdom Keepers reviews - these books are not just meant for kids. Book V hits the ground running from where Book IV left off. It grabs you & keeps you sprinting around the cruise ship. Who is good? Who is bad? Where people are concerned, it sometimes gets hard to tell. The Villains though - oh yeah - they're bad. No doubt about it. They have those Kingdom Keepers running to stay ahead of the Villains. Sometimes this is where I do get frustrated. Can't the Kingdom Keepers ever truly come out ahead? They hurt & delay the Villains, but almost never conclusively win a battle. Like its predecessors - this book is a page turner (even on a Kindle). Yeah - some implausibility again but as I've said before - this is fiction/fantasy. Roll with it. Anxiously anticipating the next & last book in the series. Wish Disney would make a Kingdom Keepers movie.

Longest book in series holds up
As the title says, this is a great addition to the series and spreads the story out more than previous entries.

It's Not Set in Walt Disney World, But I'll Let That Go
I'll admit it: I've read all of the Kingdom Keepers books and I'm a 39 year old father of four. To be honest, my wife and I got into this series as a sort of replacement for actually visiting our favorite vacation spot in the world (which happens to be Walt Disney World, oddly enough). But, even though this novel does not take place in WDW (well, it does... a little bit), the characters (Disney and Pearson's) are very fun. I always recommend these books to other people, even if they are not as obsessed with Disney World as I am. Some of the twists and turns in this book can be a bit far fetched but, come on. This is fantasy that we're talking about here.Bottom line: read it.
