Chief Pholourie Mix Instant 10.5oz (Single Bag) Product of Trinidad & Tobago

WOW!! What a wonderful taste of the Caribbean... I got the recipe and tried to make this. My efforts were awful. I bought one bag of Pholourie mix and it was great. Even if you are a good cook I would recommend this because in our busy world this is a wonderful time saver. Go to Whole Foods and buy a curry dish to go with it. Or go to your neighborhood Grocery and buy a bottle of chutney to make a dip.

I had no issues with my batch of product. A bit on expensive side but when you don't live near a west Indian store, these come in handy. My polourie turned out yellow and just fine! Also tasted great!

Good for those who are missing the taste of home but can’t actually make anything from home lol !!Easy directions , mixed well and the fried consistency was just as it should be . Now taste wise it probably needs more masala or Gerra but good over all taste

The finished product was the wrong color and flavor.I have had this in the past and this time it was different in color and taste I had to throw it out.

I am American born of Trinidadian descent and pholourie is one of my favorite treats that my grandmother and aunties would make for me when I visit Trinidad. For those of you not familar its basic Indo-Trini fried dough with some Trini spice. I like this pholourie mix and would recommend it for those not familar or even nationals and ancestors. If you can and I have I would prefer to make it from scratch myself but that's a little bit more time consuming. This cuts right to the chase, especially for last minute preparation. Serve with tamarind or mango chutney.

Don't waste your money. Would give zero stars if I could.I seasoned it MEGA and still they tasted bland and gross. If you didnt eat them in the exact moment they turn into hard cement blocks. Even the batter left on the spoon would barely scrub off.Just made some from scratch which was just as easy but had to let it rise for an hour before cooking. They are phenomenal.

Love the smell of pholourinin the kitchen! Takes me right back to cooking some up for my Dad💖
