My 10 year old loves this set. I like how portable it is. He can carry it as well. I like the practice pads that lay on top too.

For the money this is a great starter snare drum for anyone who wants to learn how to play the drums. It has a nice stand and the sound is okay. It sure beats those drum pads they used to give out to practice on when you began lessons.

My son started band this year and this snare has been a great starter snare. He’s learning so much and is still excited about playing.

Nice snare..my son says the strap is so uncomfortable that is almost impossible to wear without wrapping something around the neck area.

This is a solid snare for a beginner or a professional, it's really good for low volume gigs just due to the way the shells bearing edge is cut and rolled inward. I'm my opinion though it's really crisp, sensitive and articulate. The only small, miniscule gripe I have is that the throw off lever on my snare is different from the one pictured in the listing, but, on the other side of that, it's actually an impressive lever for this price point, I'd definitely recommend it to a professional for a low cost "beater" snare (obviously though it's definitely worth the money though.

Pretty good beginner snare drum. It’s very sturdy and well built. The snare doesn’t have the best sound but is a great starter drum for a beginner. If you’re looking for something with a cleaner and clearer sound I would go with a Pearl. I love how it packs up into the case. I only wish it had wheels instead of just backpack straps but it’s not too terribly heavy. Overall good purchase and perfect for a beginner band kid!
