Innovative and incredible bike storage solution
I thought I had a great idea for storing bikes - a ceiling track like at a hospital or industrial setting that would allow you to slide the bikes and rotate them for the best storage. Well, these guys beat me to it, and I'm happy to support a small business. I purchased the 74 inch track, and it fits my bikes great with lots of room to move them about and get bikes on/off the hooks.Pros:low weightlow costseriously one of the best bike storage solutions availablerelatively easy install (the pre-drilled holes aligned well with my ceiling joists)Cons:--I think every con I list below is attributable to cost savings. Any industrial application with a heavy duty metal track and rollers to more smoothly glide the hanging bikes is SUBSTANTIALLY more money.--Yes, it's plastic, but it saves on weight and costThe hooks don't slide super smoothly (but again, lower cost than rollers)

Hang the Bikes
works like a champ, even with 5 large bikes on. The track is a little sticky and you'll have to play a serious game of Tetris to make more than four bikes fit, but it will do it and hasn't budged or warped since it was installed.

Could have been designed better for installation
Nice bike rack once it is hung. The hardware that was included for installation was junk, so I had to use my own screws and washers. Whoever designed it for use did not design is well for installation. It was difficult to get a power drill close to the mounting holes given the design. Took about 3 hours to install when it should have been about 30 minutes.

I recommend these.
I installed two parallel tracks on the garage ceiling for hanging bicycles. Easy to install. Easy to use.The sliding hooks let you pack the bicycles very closely.

Suseptible to warping in heat.
When mounted properly it can support my 120lbs worth of bikes. But during summer time the garage gets really hot and the track warped enough to convince me the hooks are going to fall out of the track and they won't slide. Very concerning! I put the warped track outside in the heat to straighten back out, reinstalled with more screws and only hung a 30lb bike, a few days later it warped again. The track needs to be metal or I can't use during summer.

Great for storing bicycles up and out of the way!
We used this to store 5 adult bicycles. I had a little trouble with the installation. I had to buy a longer drill bit because the screws are very long. I’m sure this is necessary because of the amount of weight that it holds. It is very sturdy, and there is enough room to get the bikes up and down easily. I am very pleased with this purchase.

Works Well Once It Is Mounted
I bought this to hang several larger items - a large drop spreader, a wheelbarrow, a couple other spreaders and misc other stuff. Once I got it mounted, it is working well. The mounting step was the issue. The pre-drilled holes, which are stated to be at 24" and 16" between hole centers ended up being 24 1/4 for one set of holes. If the ceiling joists are not exact (warped, etc.) 1/4" can make a difference on hitting one. I had that problem. 1/4" is a lot to be off on a manufactured item. It is like the old days with stuff from China. That and the fact that plastic is used for the weight bearing material is why I am giving this three stars.

TREASURE FIND FOR PLANT ENTHUSIASTS
This product is a real sleeper ! Although advertised as a bicycle ceiling rack, this amazing product makes a great track for hanging plants. The ceiling tracks come in different sizes and they can be trimmed to fit odd size areas. Each track comes with several hooks( you can add more) and each hook slides and completely rotates holding up to 50 lbs.each. I have been searching for such a product for years,it was hard to find. The Titan track should be advertised in all the major garden magazines. This is the greatest product .
