a must have for DIY enthusiast
The media could not be loaded. I'm a DIY enthusiast and bought a MD808 Pro last year. Have to say MD808 Pro is good, but it's a built-in system which means the software is hard to be fast. It was until my old MD808 Pro failed to do auto bleed abs on my vehicle that made me decide to upgrade the device.Got MX808 last weekend. Here is what I think about this devce. Great value for money. The quality of the unit is pretty good. Easy to use with the friendly iPad touch screen. Read the VIN for the American vehicles easily. Lots of shortcut buttons. The user manual is detailed and lots of YouTube videos to help in how to use it. I upload the video from Autel official here. A must have one for DIYers.

Way better that I even expected! Wonderful!
This scanner is fantastic! I have used to $6000 snap on scanners and I would still prefer this over them. Well worth the price. As far as scanning goes, I love that it will do a complete scan of all control modules at once. It gives a readout of the mileage when most codes are set (or how many miles it has been since being set). I haven't had a problem yet with checking or clearing a code. It runs self test just like factory scan tool would. So if you're looking for a great scanner, this is one. Next, (and one reason I purchased this one) this has the ability to program key fobs. My successful programs include newer model Chevrolets that normally require a locksmith or dealer and a smart key for a 2016 Toyota. It has the ability to program Ford and Dodge fobs but my first attempt at a Ford was unsuccessful and the Dodge requires a pin number (which the dealer charges for). it does however let me pull keypad codes for Ford vehicles.

Great handy tool
I bought the Autel MX808 and love it. This tablet diagnostic tool worked exactly. It's a responsive touch screen tablet with an Android operating system and wireless internet. Easily look up information on the spot while working on a vehicle. The MX808 is not the fastest to scan and connect I believe but faster than many buit-in tools like MD808 pro. The functionality is worth the few seconds wait. You can save customer info in the scanner, so you have information at the ready for repeat customers or to educate aggressive customers. If you're using this for personal use, you'll have a reference on hand of your own vehicle's issues. This has been a great asset to my business.

good scanner
The MX808 is easy to activate and connect to vehicles. reads the VIN for the vehicles easily. It's an Android pad which is able to log onto the internet and find website that guides me solute mechinical problem. Tested on my Mercedes 2011 C320. Scanned fast, already saved hundreds of dollars.

Pays for itself in a short time
I bought this at the end of 2019 and I use it a lot. I use it to reset the service warning on my Porsche Cayenne, I’ve used it to add new key fobs to different vehicles, and I used it to get rid of the brake/abs warning lights on my Chevy truck when I changed the rear end ratio and tire sizes. The thing works great and seems limitless because it gets updated over the internet.I believe it paid for itself the first couple times I used it and has been saving me tons of time and money ever since. And it’s a relatively small investment.

Can do a lot, but not ideal
This is a very old tablet based off of Android 4.4 which is an almost 8 year old firmware. I would rather pay to install an app on my much more powerful phone as this thing does not have any benefits over doing so. Menus are very slow and confusing, but this does have a decent amount of functions for the price. Can pair key fobs

a strong professional tool
My mechanic friend recommended this MaxiCheck MX808. Got this unit over the weekend. Out of the box, there are an Android Pad, a USB External Power Adapter, a User Manual, Quick Reference Guide, Main cable, Carry case, Mini USB Cable as well as an extension OBDII cable. Tried on my 2005 ACURA TL. Great all around scan and diagnostic tool. Easy to use and update. It's almost paid for itself using it once to do the "electronic brake bleed" on any vehicle! The bad for this unit is not free to update lifetime. $120 per year is not expensive though. Overall, it deserves a 5+ stars.

Used and abused
The packaging this unit comes in is nice, I like the securing straps inside the case. The unit itself is nice as well, however, I was shipped a unit that has been previously owned and abused. The screen has scratches and blemishes all over, there’s what appears to be a repaired crack on the back, the time is set to a foreign area, the language was in Spanish and the battery at 66%. I was sent a used product, which is why I am working on a return. The unit may be used 10 times without registering, but an AUTEL login pops up non stop until you register. The device requires WiFi and an error message will pop up every time you attempt to select anything on the screen.I bought this unit after looking at many others and reading all of the reviews. I saw a review that displayed the user performing active tests, powering up relays and so on. This unit does not do active testing or power up relays or anything else. It failed to reset an oil light on a 2008 Saturn Vue, so I reset it manually, which is quicker anyways. I am disappointed in the options it offers and that basic functions like this cannot be completed successfully with this tool.It has limited options and the options are all based off of the car that you’re using it on. For instance, Cylinder testing is only available on Ford, Ford EU, Mazda and Maserati.. no other cars. This scanner looks great, has good weight, a nice storage and wiring connections, but it is no more capable than my handheld that I paid $200 for.
